Chalkboard Sentiments....

I love these chalkboard sentiments from Craftwork Cards, I decided to use one with some pretty American Craft papers....

It needed a bit of stitching to define the layers - I almost had a major panic when I couldn't get the automatic needle threader to work, but all was well, I haven't used it for so long, I forgot how to do it!.....

I added a black spray cut from a Memory Box die, to link up with the black sentiment...

I do hope that you are all safe with all this extreme weather that seems to have hit us globally. If you are in North America, stay warm, South America, stay cool, and if you are here in the UK, stay dry. I can't imagine what it must be like in such bitterly cold temperatures, if it drifts across the Atlantic, you will find me permanently under the duvet, I should really hibernate in the winter, I don't function well at all.

In the meantime, I am busy cranking out die cuts for a project - 150 of them, that should keep me warm....see you tomorrow x

  1. Love all that stitching! I'm in Western New York and today it's unseasonably warm, in the 40s, but tomorrow after starting out with some of the same we are supposed to drop and have 20-30 below wind chills. I'm only going out if I absolutely have to. This is crazy!

  6. Sorry to say Enfys that there's a very good chance that cold weather is on it's way. Keep the duvet close. Love chalkboard. Great stitching. Me and my sewing machine often don't get along so well. Wet and warm in Norway. Expecting winter end of the week........

  7. Oh those spring colors give me wishful thinking. Beautiful card. Washington state is dry, cold and sunny today but the rains are coming back tomorrow. I'll take the rain over the bitter cold of the east coast any day.
