It needed a bit of stitching to define the layers - I almost had a major panic when I couldn't get the automatic needle threader to work, but all was well, I haven't used it for so long, I forgot how to do it!.....
I added a black spray cut from a Memory Box die, to link up with the black sentiment...
I do hope that you are all safe with all this extreme weather that seems to have hit us globally. If you are in North America, stay warm, South America, stay cool, and if you are here in the UK, stay dry. I can't imagine what it must be like in such bitterly cold temperatures, if it drifts across the Atlantic, you will find me permanently under the duvet, I should really hibernate in the winter, I don't function well at all.
In the meantime, I am busy cranking out die cuts for a project - 150 of them, that should keep me warm....see you tomorrow x
Love all that stitching! I'm in Western New York and today it's unseasonably warm, in the 40s, but tomorrow after starting out with some of the same we are supposed to drop and have 20-30 below wind chills. I'm only going out if I absolutely have to. This is crazy!
ReplyDeleteFabulous card Enfys. I really must dig out my sewing machine, you've given me inspiration! Hugs x
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card,love your stitching.
ReplyDeleteLovely layers and the chalkboard is fab. 150 die cuts? You'll have muscles like sparrow's kneecaps on one arm! Pat x
ReplyDeleteI love those happy Spring colors. Today, in PA it starts out at 61 and will drop to 32 by 4 p.m. Tomorrow it is supposed to be only 8 degrees in the morning! More Spring cards, please!! We need to keep our spirits up. BethAnn M.
ReplyDeleteSorry to say Enfys that there's a very good chance that cold weather is on it's way. Keep the duvet close. Love chalkboard. Great stitching. Me and my sewing machine often don't get along so well. Wet and warm in Norway. Expecting winter end of the week........
ReplyDeleteOh those spring colors give me wishful thinking. Beautiful card. Washington state is dry, cold and sunny today but the rains are coming back tomorrow. I'll take the rain over the bitter cold of the east coast any day.
ReplyDelete150 die cuts! Holy Cow! I'm in SC so we're getting the cold here. It's supposed to be below zero tonight!!! I'm staying inside, and no one...yep I said no one, will convince me otherwise. lol I'm glad I don't live up in the frozen north any more! An automatic needle threader? You are a lucky lady! lol Hugs, Jess
ReplyDeleteWe are in the Northwest US and we've had a very cold winter so far (it was - 8 degrees but the good part is we've had snow since Nov. Which is very strange for us. I'm loving it !!!!
ReplyDeleteIt sound like you are sure keeping busy, 150 die cuts ! I thought 25 of the same design were bad ! :)

ReplyDeleteOh how refreshing to see those beautiful spring colors. Love this card so much. We have ll and 1/2 inches of snow and the temp. this morning was -41 below. The dog is in shock about going outside! It has warmed up to minus 14 right now. Keep spring coming!
