Coloured with ProMarkers the paper is from the Sherbert collection by Craftwork Cards, and the Happy Birthday die is by Memory Box - this one is going to get a LOT of use by me...
Thanks for all the very interesting comments on my last post, it made fascinating reading.
I am all packed, and by the time you read this will probably be on a train somewhere between here and Leeds. The workshop is a full house (nervous, hope it all runs like clockwork) and I am sure we will have a lot of fun. On Saturday night we are going with Julie and Sue to see the Strictly Come Dancing live show. Break out the fake tan and sequins. Expect lots of photos next week, and for those of you who won't be there tomorrow, I may have a little treat for someone....
See you then x

ReplyDeleteI love this beautiful card ... the shoe is gorgeous! Enfys, I know I've told you many times how much your lovely creations inspire me, and they do. But this time, the inspiration came in a different way. (I'll make no excuses for the way my mind works ... it is what it is and there is nothing I can do about it.) As I was admiring your lovely shoe, thoughts and images started flooding my head. If you allow me a moment, I'll share them with you ...
ReplyDeleteEnfys, this story’s quite simple
And inspired by you
Do you recall the old woman
who lived in a shoe?
With rambunctious kids
It looked so tattered and torn
Through the years that poor shoe
Had become weathered and worn.
As her children had grown
They’ve moved on as kids do
Now she sits each night alone
In that ratty old shoe
Till she said, “Forget all of this
I’ll not wallow in pity
I shall sell this old shoe
And move into the City”
So she sold that old shoe
And got a heck of a deal
Then she purchased another
T'was a darling high heel
Oh she fixed it up grand
Adding flowers and such
And of course there was bling
For the finishing touch
Now she’s happy and smiling
With a heart filled with laughter
And that’s how she lived
Every day … EVER AFTER!
Best wishes on your workshop. I know it will be an outstanding success. HAVE FUN!
