I was given this flower stamp by Stampendous a couple of years ago, and although I have used it a couple of times, I was never entirely satisfied with the result. Then I hit on this idea. I stamped it three times.....
Dug out the ProMarkers......
Easy peasy to colour.......then I chopped two of the images up....
matted them all in black.....
and put it all together on a card like this. I added some drops of glossy accents to look like dew drops.....
I like it, and may play around with the same idea with some smaller stamps. What do you think?
See you tomorrow x
Oh I really like it. Very different, very pretty. TFS!
ReplyDeleteOh !! That's really cool... LUV it :-)

Way to go Enfys ... that is totally thinking outside the box. LOVE IT! I really like that you gave each section a black matting, that helps them pop and overlapped the layering to add depth. I also like the way the dew drops unite all the pieces as one. Color blocking is so popular in clothing right now ... why not in crafting too!
ReplyDeleteNow I am wondering if you could take this another step further ... possibly adding totally different color variations to the pieces (like pink, lavendar and green)? Or perhaps different shades of the same color (white, pink, red)?
Anyway, it's something to play around with. I am loving the possibilities!
Love it!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea - I usually give large stamps like that a miss but that looks so effective.

Lovely idea, and how pretty!
ReplyDeleteI think you are amazing, that's what I think! I thought "oh boy, what do you do with a stamp that big?" LOL!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful :)
ReplyDeleteWould like to see you cut around some of the petals of two stamped images making the rose smaller each time and layering those on top to give the whole rose a 3D shape - would be interested to see how that would look too :) - Debbie
ReplyDeleteVery pretty. Great idea.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea, Enfys. Fabtastic result.

That is fab - a very striking card x
ReplyDeleteI think it's absolutely FAB!
ReplyDeleteLove the dewdrops too!
Maybe you can use this stamp in the corner of a card so you won't see the entire flower, but only partial.
Or in 3D, or maybe do some paperpiecing with it! If you use various patterned papers/ scraps wil do just fine too.
It will make such a beautiful patchwork kind of card that way!
Your stamp is very versatile! :-)
Oh, btw, I love your blogposts!!
You put a smile on my face every time I read your blogposts.
Thanks!
Bye from the Netherlands,

Thanks En! I have that same stamp and have never taken it out of the packaging! I have another one too, so now I will use your idea. I was sort of saving them for scrapbook pages, because they are so big. I'll wait no longer. You are always a great inspiration. Hugs, Jess
