I got the Peachy Keen create a critter face stamps some time ago from Scrappy-go-Lucky. Mandy is one of the few vendors that sell these stamps in Australia and the UK. I made a series of cards for the Scrappy go Lucky blog and this little dog was one of the animals I made up but never got around to putting on a card - until now
I seem to have a bit of a thing about these around the page punches at the moment, don't know why. I have had three or four sets for ages and never used them except as border punches. Anyway, the papers are by K & Co. The dog was cut at 3" and I added some swiss dot embossing to her poodley bits for texture. Base card and sentiment by Craftwork Cards
I didn't tell you about my bedroom episode.....no, wait, don't go away. A couple of days after we got here I needed to go to the loo in the middle of the night. So, half asleep, I staggered out of bed towards the bathroom and walked straight into a wall that shouldn't have been there. My head connected with one heck of a bang (I am still nursing the bruise). You see, that's the problem with all this house hopping, the sub conscious seems to take a day or two to adjust, and thought it was guiding me safely to the bathroom of the house back in the West Midlands. Ouchie.
Really cute face and adorable card, Enfys. sorry about your night mis-adventure. I have more trouble with waking dreams after a vacation. I wake up and my room looks like it's part of the dream which is from the vacation. Needless to say, our vacation are usually full and hectic, not restful ;- ) The kind you need a vacation from, ha ha. Have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteWhat a little cutie - such a sweet card.
ReplyDeleteI've had a similar experience when the hotel we stayed at had to move us to another room part way through our stay - I walked into the wardrobe door (not quite as hard as a wall)LOL

Love the card En. I only have one punch around the page, and I love to use it. I think they make such nice finshed edges.
ReplyDeleteIt's so easy to get twisted around when you're half asleep. My first hubby used to sleep walk...I could tell some horror stories...but I won't! lol
Love this little poodle...so cute!!!
ReplyDeleteI love your Poodle card, it's very
ReplyDeletecute. I am considering ordering
some Peachy Keen stamps to go with my Cricut cut animals too. Hope your head is feeling better. My husband recently knocked his head
on the van door and he has a big
egg on his head.
Take care!

LOL - don't get me wrong, I'm glad you're OK ;) overall.
ReplyDeleteI love the card!
Cute card!! It's so funny how you mentioned how you had Martha Stewart punch around the pages for a while and never used them. I can only confess I did the same thing due to my own ignorance!!! Of course, I ran straight home & tried the punches out, and they weren't lining up so well...they didn't work!!! Then I searched online for reasons why, and it seemed other scrappers were saying the same bad thing about the punches. A few weeks ago(about two years later) I was on the Michael's Art & Craft website & saw that there was a tutorial on Martha Stewart around the page punches. So I watched it, and to my complete surprise, I realized that the corner punches have wings that pull out to help you line up the corner punch with the straight line matching punch!! So I pulled out my punch pairs, pulled out the wings on the corner punch, followed the tutorial, and to my amazing surprise, they matched up perfectly!! I felt like such a blithering idiot, I can not describe the happiness and embarrasement!!!

Enfys,
ReplyDeleteThis is me again... I love the story and just wanted you to know I have lived in this house since 2001 and last week I ran into the wall on the way to the bathroom in the middle of the night. Not sure why that happened because I have been in this house awhile. I made this last card and so thought of your funny stories... I should have put you outside at a table.
Take a look:
