Those of you who pop in to see me regularly know that I don't really do vintagey stuff, but I love this range from Craftwork Cards, they have a very pale duck egg colour in there as well as the more usual brown/cream. I inked the edges very lightly with antique linen distress ink, I didn't want it to look grungey. All the elements on the card, apart from the flower and beads are by CWC, including the lovely shaped base card....
and here is another very simple card made with their Botanics range - it's a pity that photos don't show the gorgeous pearly sheen of their papers
Both of these were made before I left home, I really haven't had a minute since we got here. I spent two days unpacking and putting things in their rightful place, and for three whole days I have been searching for a replacement lead for my Gypsy. It doesn't help of course that I am so hopeless when it comes to anything with a power button..... 'I'm looking for a cable with a sort of teensy thingy on one end, and a small squarish thingy on the other'. Then when you mention 'die cutting machine' their eyes sort of glaze over. You can hear them thinking 'oh, it's a woman thing....' I finally got it sorted in a specialist cable store, where they knew exactly what a teensy thingy looked like.
Along with my Gypsy cord, I seem to have mislaid my mojo as well, if someone finds it hanging around (it will be in either Birmingham, Newark or Tampa airports, or any Dunkin Donuts within a ten mile radius) please send it to me as quickly as possible. I need to stop shuffling bits of paper around and get to work.
I'll see you tomorrow with the winners of the Promarker contest
Beautiful Enfys. I am trying to do more vintage things too so really enjoyed seeing your work. Hope you find a cord and your mojo.
ReplyDeleteLove the papers and colors. Beautiful!

Very Very cute!
ReplyDeleteReally pretty! Glad that you found somebody who know what a teensy thingy with a squarish end was! Hope that Mr. Mojo comes home after he gets all caffeinated at Duncan Doughnuts. Just think then he'll be in hyper-drive!

Gorgeous papers, Enfys. Absolutely love what you've done with them. If my mojo is with your's when you find it, please send it back to me. If I reorganize rather than create one more day my paper is going to get up and move out! Glad to have you back! hugs, eileen
ReplyDeleteEnfys, If you go Scappincricut website you can find a cord to link the gypsy to the cricut. she sells them. it is even longer than the pc one. I love your cards.

Your mojo is just jet lag. Take a day to sleep or go to Dunkin Donuts for a good funny story. I wish I lived in Fl so I could come and help you look for it.
ReplyDeleteLove the cards. I really like the flower on the second one.
They are gorgeous, just the perfect amount of vintage. The first one is really elegant Enfys. Hope you find the mojo now you have your gypsy sorted.
ReplyDeleteOh Enfys,
ReplyDeleteI just giggled when I read your blog this morning! I, too, say things like the roundish flat thingy that may go in upside down a bit in the sideways jimmy kazoo! Everyone glazes over except another woman who has had the same problem. Going to the mechanic with a car problem is really a blast, especially when my husband can interpret my whatchamacallit speak!
No worries, your mojo is still eating donuts and will be with you straight away!
Many blessing from the other coast! Donna

Whooo Hoooo your Gypsy is up and running again! Funny how quickly you get used to having tbat little gadget! I haven't used a plain cartridge and keypad overlay since I got my Gypsy! And on monday Don has an appointment at the unemployment office. Which could last for more than an hour. So I'll be using it whilst I wait for him! I love your card En! The colors are just great! The papers are wonderful too. TFS
ReplyDeleteYour cards are beautiful like always. Glad you found your cord with the teensy thingie. LOL
ReplyDeleteYour vintage card is so beautiful. It makes me think of the Roaring 20's movies. What your MOJO needs is a shopping trip. Hitting the stores and losing myself in the clothing sections always gets me all pumped up and ready to tackle the world problems! Try it!
ReplyDeleteMizMaryAnn
Well, you know you had your mojo when you made these cards. These are great! Love the flower on the first one.Wonderful colors on the second. Maybe your mojo just got lost by the airline and will come along a bit late. It know you had to unpack anyway ;- ) You have mojo to spare anyway, once you catch your breath from all that running around. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeletegorgeous vintage!!~done perfectly!!

I so love Craftwork cards stuff - it is such a lovely quality but I think it is made by crafty people for crafty people which I think makes all the difference.
ReplyDeleteHope you find your mojo soon.

Very lovely cards! I seem to have lost my mojo lately too, in fact it seems to be a trend in the papercrafting circle right now. Don't know where it's all going, but hopefully we will all find it soon. I have things to get done!
ReplyDeleteHi Enfys,
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed reading your blog and your work is beautiful! But it's not work if it's fun, right? I'm a new follower and just wanted to say hello. You are so lucky to have Dunkin Donuts, do you know there is not one DD in the whole state of Minnesota? I really miss them so next time you visit one can you have a cup of java for me? Cream, no sugar. lol!

Oh, Enfys, they're just gorgeous!!! You did your vintage very well -- with a twist!!! LOL!
ReplyDeleteLove your cards. I haven't done any vintage things but sure like what you create. I don't know where your mojo went but I bet it shows up when you least expect it. Thanks for sharing your stories and creativity.
ReplyDeleteWow, you should do more vintage stuff! It is fantastic.
