Today's card is one of two shoe cards I made for Scrappy go Lucky, using the Formal Occasions cartridge. I am a sucker for shoe cards, and always love making them. The shoes were cut at 3 1/2". I cuttlebugged the soles for a bit of texture. I think this would be perfect for a teenager, the boots look just like trendy Converse hi tops. Because they are so snazzy, I let them do the talking and kept the rest of the card really plain.

I love shoe cards too! We have a large extended family and I do birthday cards each year using one style and/or theme. Last year was the year of the shoe. These would have been perfect as one of my choices. I try to personalize the shoe to the person and the high tops scream several of my families names. Darn!

This cartridge would be nice. I teach high school special ed., and I'm always so proud of my students who make it to graduation. It takes a lot of effort for them to get there, so I like to make special cards for them.
