Here are some of the workshops that Kath and I did at the show, the first one was with PaperArtsy.....
The stamps had already been stamped for us, but we had to colour them using watercolour paints - all of them in 15 minutes! So although the result is splashy, I rather like it. We cut them out and assembled the tags at home
I did feel that using the yellow on her face made her look a bit bilious - as though she had had a few glasses of wine too many the previous evening, and was now bitterly regretting it!
When I got home and cut all the elements out, I did add some glossy accents and Wink of Stella clear glitter here and there....
and here they are, all mounted onto the background sheet we painted, and mounted onto black cardstock.....
Next up was Andy Skinner's class for DecoArt, which was a lot of fun, and again very busy - I can't tell you how many techniques we did on this little wall hanging. My fingers were inky for days!
and a class using Stix products - see the black glitter card? I stamped it on the wrong side, so the fold of the card is on the right!
and this flower is cheating, it was a Make and Take on the Sissix stand, but we didn't actually make them, we lifted them admiringly when we were chatting to Pete Hughes - they were his demo pieces, but he let us keep them. They have a little pin to attach to your sweater/shirt/whatever and I really love those grey felts....
What great makes and takes, I'm very jealous! X
ReplyDeleteGreat makes Enfys - looks like you really enjoyed yourself.
ReplyDeleteToni xx
Looks like you both had a great time and that was lovely of Pete Hughes to let you have those brooches.
ReplyDeleteI like the yellow/green on her skin. I thought she was a mermaid. Lol beautiful, none the less. TFS, hugs Jess
ReplyDeleteLike the projects. And as for the card, just think that you created a left-handed oriented card.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a great time was had by the two of you! Love the variety of make and takes you did and I also like the take as well! LOL!
ReplyDeleteSee what you mean about the yellow tones, but I still really like it. The wall hanging is just gorgeous and go you with the sticky fingers, so love the little felt flower!
ReplyDeleteLucky you, doing an Andy Skinner workshop - I love his work. As for being clever enough to make a card for a left handed person, brilliant. It was intentional of course wasn't it? Great job with the Paper Artsy workshop - I looked a bit like her when I was seasick. Sorry, don't mean to be rude about your art Enfys!! Pat x
ReplyDeleteMore great photos, thanks so much for sharing them Enfys - I love your PaperArtsy makes and the brooch from Pete is beautiful! Anne x
