Since I am a bit of a coffee addict, I couldn't resist this new embossing folder from Tim Holtz - I actually really like the Sissix texture fades, they leave a really crisp impression - anyway, here it is.......
I die cut a tag with a mug from Gypsy Wanderings cartridge with my Explore - in kraft with a backing of white.......
I made the mug look a bit more interesting by writing the word smile, and dotting some tiny dots of orange, then covered the lot in glossy accents. The seam binding was inked as well. Sentiment is by MFT. The twine is chocolate brown in real life.......
Then of course, I was left with the tiny mug shape from the tag, so this time I inked the inside of the embossing folder with Gathered Twigs distress ink, which left a nice smudgy coffee cup background for the little kraft mug. Sentiment dies are by Clearly Besotted, tiny hearts and stitched tag MFT
To tell you the truth, I don't know where my coffee addiction came from, for years and years I was strictly a cup of tea type of person - I think it was discovering the joys of large iced coffees in the Florida sunshine that did it for me, and now, here I am even making cards about the stuff!
See you tomorrow x
Well another inch of snow to wake up to this morning with already 8 inches on the ground still. It did melt some today. Next week is to bring warmer temps and rain. I hope all this stuff goes away. I am so a coffee person and I love these cards. Want to sell them? About time for another sale of all those lovely cards. I have some to post and my laptop died. I am going to see about ordering another one tomorrow... I am lost with out it because I used it in the family room and posted to the blog while watching TV. Hope all is well with you. Great job sweet friend....
ReplyDeleteI love your cards and every time I see coffee cards I think of you and miss the Dunkin' Donuts stories. I was looking at yesterdays project and have recently gotten some Spellbinders Die D-lites. The package says to use with the Grand Caliber (which I don't have). Do you know how to use these with the Cuttlebug? You seem to know everything about everything.
ReplyDeleteIf I don't get my coffee in the morning, I am a VERY unhappy person with a headache. I really love iced coffee in the summertime and creamy lattes when it's cold outside. Love your cards. Thanks for sharing the mug from Gypsy Wanderings. I didn't know there was one on that cartridge.
ReplyDeleteSuper cards Enfys...something to go onto my shopping list as I'm a coffee addict too.
ReplyDeleteToni xx
Right up your street Enfys, this definitely screams your name. Love my morning coffee, sometimes mid afternoon coffee, or just any time of day coffee he he. Just love the cards.
ReplyDeleteI don't drink coffee Enfys but I love your coffee cards, very creative. Pat x
ReplyDeleteI'm definitely NOT a coffee lover LOL! Won't even eat coffee flavoured cakes/chocolates. But I do like these cards - very clever Enfys.
ReplyDeleteI also have a love for coffee and a love for your cards! They are really great! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteI used to have a pot of coffee on all day long. I had friends drop in often, because they knew they could get a cup, no matter the time. Now...two cups and I'm done! Lol, funny how we change. Cute cards. I like the second one best, I think. But would enjoy receiving either. TFS, hugs Jess
ReplyDeleteI don't like coffee either, but, I love your cards!!!! I am addicted to tea, hot or cold. I collect teapots and teacups. I had to stop collecting once my son was born, now they are packed away for safe keeping.
ReplyDeleteCute! Cute!! fabulous cards...and a coffee nut too lol
ReplyDeleteEnfys, these cards are fabulous! And I totally agree ... coffee and friends ARE the perfect blend. I wish you were here now, I'd love to sit and chat a bit over a coffee drink. Please don't forget to let me know when you will be visiting again. Hugz!
ReplyDeleteVery cute, even though I'm not a coffee drinker. These cards are great! TFS.
ReplyDeleteI think both cards are darling but I like the second one the best. I'm a iced tea person. Hot tea for breakfast and iced tea the rest of the day. When I was little my Mother wouldn't let me drink coffee because she said it would shrink my height. Well, guess what? I'm only 4' 10"! What happened!
ReplyDeleteBrilliant cards x
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! Love the coffee embossing folder
ReplyDeleteI hadn't seen this set. Cute. Are you joining the coffee lovers hop?? http://coffeelovingcardmakers.com/ Hugz
ReplyDeleteMmmm Coffee, I'm sat here admiring your lovely cards whilst drinking a large strong bean to cup coffee, ahhh bliss :)
ReplyDeleteGreat Card ! Sizzix folders are my favorite. I hadn't seen this one. I can think of several fun cards I could make with this !
