As some of you know, I was on the Polkadoodles design team right from the day Nikky Hall started the company, so I have a good pile of CD's, and I was eager to see how the SNC would deal with cutting out some of the digital elements. I chose one of the Paper Boutique CD's - full of templates just needing to be cut out and assembled. I haven't made any of these shaped cards for the longest time, but the machine made it a breeze.......
I had a lot of tiny flowers left over......
So I made this card, using one of the little pots from Katy Sue Designs. The scallop circles were very quickly cut with the machine as well.....
and as a designer, Nikky is very interested to see how the machine deals with tiny elements, so here you are Nikky, 1" butterflies from Sugar Birdies, cut out just for you - pretty cool antennae don't you think?
More cards from Paper Boutique tomorrow, and I have a giveaway as well. I totally fotgot to take photos of the re-sticking of mats, I'll do that tomorrow as well. See you then x
Wow..Gorgeous creations..Shaped card is fabulous..
ReplyDeleteI'm amazed at how well the Scan 'n' Cut actually cuts. Makes me think I should add it to my wish list.
ReplyDeleteIt cut so smoothly and the details are fantastic!!fabulous Card!!!
ReplyDeleteThis would go on the top of my list of "Things I NEED" but my laptop is out so that took priority over everything...but I can still dream...lol
It's a gorgeous creation with your leftover flowers. How beautifully used your vase too. I totally loved it:)

Hey En, fantastic post as always!! THat is SO cool that the SNC can even cut those tiny antennae like a breeze, way to go with that!!! Thanks for showing us how great the machine is with digi images, can't wait for you to show us some more, I'm thinking maybe I have to get one now! xx
ReplyDeleteHi Enfys what a brilliant job the S&C does with those images and thats the first time Ive been tempted. Love your card its just stunning. hugs Shirleyxxxx
ReplyDeleteAs always, A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! Thank you for sharing your amazing creations!
ReplyDeleteBoth beautiful cards.
ReplyDeleteWOW ... these cuts are totally awesome Enfys. I don't know what Nikky's thoughts are, but I'd say the SNC is the perfect compliment to all those delightfully creative Polkadoodles CD's. The CD images are so vibrant and lovely when printed ... but the ability to cut them so easily adds a whole new fabulous level of deminsion. And your amazing floral and butterfly cards show how much life and whimsy can be added with a little deminsion.
ReplyDeleteAt my age, my hands and eye sight are not as cooperative as they use to be at cutting out these delicately detailed designs. However, it's great to see that the SNC will now give that creative ability to everyone. LOVE IT!!!
Love the adorable flowers. Maybe one day I will be able to get one of these machines.
ReplyDeleteI'm trying so hard *not* to be tempted to one of these machines! You're making it difficult ;)
ReplyDeleteI love how precise your new machine cut these flowers and butterflies.
ReplyDeleteThese cards are beautiful!!!
Fab card Enfys, I love all the brightly coloured flowers in the pot. I think you should work for Brother, once you'd shown your projects you'd have everybody reaching for their credit cards in no time! Pat x
ReplyDeleteWell, no more fussy cutting for you! These are just fabulous! Even the antennae! Pretty cards. TFS Jess

I think it would not matter if you did not have any of the cutting machines, you are so talented you would still make beautiful cards - it is nice to have the machines (I have the S&G) but real talent is shown when making cards from raw materials :) xxx
