Here's one that will go into my 'useful cards' box. The stamp is by Great Impressions, and has three sunflowers on it, so I stamped it multiple times then punched them out into squares, and mounted them onto green scallop squares. I stuck them on at all sorts of angles to add interest, and on three of the flower squares, I used a foam pad to add another flower. I rather liked the result, it cheered me up on a very grey day
When we get back after a spell in the USA, one of the first things I have to make is Toad in the Hole. WHAAAAT? I can hear the shrieks from across the Atlantic. 'OMG, I'd heard they ate kidneys over there, but Toads?'
Rest easy, it's an old British dish made with the great British banger (sausage), and is just sausages cooked in a Yorkshire pudding batter. Yummy.
The ridiculous thing is that I never eat sausages apart from this great sausage frenzy that overcomes me as soon as I set foot in the UK. Looks a bit burnt? That means there's loads of crispy batter to scrape off around the sides..................double yummy
Darling card and the recipe sounds yummy!

Love the card but I am a wee bit frieghtened of sausage
ReplyDeleteOh, I have that stamp and I've never known how to use it! Thanks for your inspiration!
ReplyDeleteAs for Toad in the Hole... Mmm, yummy! It's a strange coincidence, but I'm planning on making Toad tomorrow!! it has to be served with boiled white cabbage and carrots, and gravy! Yummy!

Great card hun, lovely to see flowers this time of year! And as for the TITH, yummy, gimme. Mum makes a variation called Frog In A Ditch - with bacon instead of sausages and a sprinkling of grated cheddar on the Yorkshire. That's pretty nice too. Hugs Sxx
ReplyDeleteI often wondered what Toad in a hole was. I knew it was something you eat, but it sounds yummy. Care to share the entire recipie?
ReplyDeleteLove the card! I always like the 'quilted' look. TFS

Great idea for a card! I want to add my request for the recipe to Jessica's. I'd love to serve this to my grandkids and tell them it's made with actual toads. Teehee!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun way to arrange big flower stamps. Great card Enfys and your dish looks delish!
ReplyDeleteLove the card, will do this for my daughter who loves sunflowers. Thanx. May we have the receipe?

I love this card! Nice one to cheer someone up, isn't it?
ReplyDeleteThat sausage looks so yummy, would love to know how to make it.
I've done something similar with peeking bunny stamps in squares, but I've never thought to just do it with an image and create it myself ( the bunnies kind of lend them selves to it.) Thanks for causing me to look at my stamps differently ;- )
ReplyDeleteThe card turned out really lovely!
