Funky Hand Challenge - Happy New House

The first of the month means it's time for a new challenge over at Get Funky. This month, the challenge is just that - NEW
so it can be a new baby, new job, new car, new beginning, new husband/wife/lover/cat/dog or just new house as I did.
The papers are all from the brand new CD Colour Me Happy, which will be released this month, there are some fabulous coloured ginghams on there, and you all know how I love gingham. The house was resized with one little click, and I dragged the bird across so that it was joined to the house, then cut it out in red gingham, which I had printed onto cardstock, and the spotty paper. The fence was cut using my Cricut (Lite cartridge, Bloom)

As usual, you have to use at least one Funky Hand product in your design. I often get asked about mailing costs from the UK, Anice gives FREE shipping to anywhere in the world. The winner of the challenge gets a £20 (about $30) voucher to spend at Funky Hand. You have a whole month to come up with a project as well. Good luck!
We have just arrived back, shattered, but had a good (boring) flight, and yes, it was 'chicken or beef'. It will take me a couple of days to sort myself out I think.

  1. Welcome back to the uk. Love reading your blog. I have been inspired to dust off the Cricut as a result. Keep up the good work, shame no more Dunkin D posts, dont imagine Starbucks, Solihull gives quite the same comical material!!!

  4. I'm so glad you arrived home without a glitch! Very cute card En! The only problem...it reminds me there are still a gazillion boxes to go through from our recent move! I keep trying to forget! What an exhausting week it was. Since Don was gone to Boston, I had to get help from my sons, and our neighbors helped too! I had got to the point that I would have snared a passer-by to help! What great people I have surrounding me!

  20. Hi,

I don't have a blog, but I will give entering the contest to win the gift certificate a try.

  21. Hi, I enjoy your blog. I thought I'd try entering the drawing for a gift certificate; I don't have a blog, though.

I have a question. On your stamped images (that you stamp twice) and cut the second image and glue it to the base image--how do you cut the pieces so evenly. I'm particularly thinking of the frog image in the Male Birthday card--I can barely color within the lines and just wonder if you have a certain technique for cutting small stamped images so well? Thanks.
