Engagement Card

Here's another magazine card I made, I was quite pleased with the sentiment on this one.
I drew a circle in pencil, and punched evenly spaced holes around it, then inserted gold eyelets, and joined up the holes with a gold marker pen.
I added the gems to look like a ring................

I used the gold marker to edge the nestability scalloped circle as well
I use Krylon markers for adding gold edges - did you know the nib has a little wedge in it, slot your paper in there and move the pen around your edge
I have been hearing a lot about the IRock, which is a setter for adding gems, it would have been handy for this card. I think it will be one of my first purchases when I get back to the USA
I got back from London very late last night, totally exhausted. I had a hair appointment at 10am today, and woke up at 9.50! You have never seen anything like the dishevelled mess that walked into that hair salon at 10.05

  12. Gorgeous ring! Love the sentiment too. I've been hearing a lot about the iRock. Seems like a pretty cool tool. Usually when I wake up late...I look at the clock and say "Oh, sh*t." Somehow I think it makes me move faster!

  18. The ring and sentiment are so clever! I thought of the i-rock tool also when I saw the beautiful diamond bling you made. I have one coming in the mail any day and can't wait to try it...maybe I'll have to try a bit of diamond rings!

  23. Great card! I have seen some examples of people using the iRock and a friend has one. I don't know that I would get a lot of use out of it, but it seems like a lot of people do.
I bet your hair looked great when you walked out of the salon though. Hope it was a great cut this time, not like the ones you were getting in Florida!
