The challenge over on Polkadoodles this week is 'Song Title'. I was short of time, so made this card very quickly using the already coloured elements from the Back to Nature CD.
I had Kiki in mind when I made it, so my song title is
You Are My Sunshine
which of course, she is
Shimmerz dots are my new passion, they are less blingy than gems, but add a subtle sparkle to a card

I understand it has been almost as cold in a little town called Hudson, Florida, as it has been here, so no wistful shivering thoughts of 'I wish I was there' from me, although it seems colder than ever today. Don't we all look ridiculous when we walk on snow/ice? There is no elegant way to do it, you either do the ice shuffle, which makes you look as if you forgot to put your skates on and are practising to be a contestant on 'Dancing on Ice', or take tiny mincing steps (as seen yesterday by a girl who was clearly so taken with the thigh high stilletto boots that Santa gave her, that she couldn't bear not to wear them regardless of the weather). I have witnessed a couple of those 'will he.................won't he?............' moments as well, you know, the one where someone suddenly lurches forwards, takes a few giant strides, arms flailing madly, and sort of hangs suspended for a while before landing on the ice.
Keep warm x

Cute little card Enfys perfect for your little sunshine! Happy new year to you, don't think I have seen you since then lol. You made me laugh with your perfect description of people on ice lol.

I love what you've done with the challenge, En. I think it's great to show what you can do with the already colored images.
ReplyDeleteI so don't miss the ice dancing! Unfortunately (weather-wise) I'll be in NY for a week starting next wednesday and then in Wisconsin in February (because I won't have been nearly cold enough in NY). I'm sure I'll have my share of graceful pratfalls. Guess I'll just have to leave my stiletto books at home! hugs, eileen
aww, this is darling, love the whispy flowers. Hugs

Super card Enfys and lovely title, I am loving seeing what is on this CD as it should be winging its way to me as we speak.
ReplyDeleteI always end up laughing when I read your posts and my boys look at me as if I am mad - they just don't understand do they!!
What a lovely Summery card En, perfect when it's soooo cold outside.
ReplyDeleteI love the daisies.
It's not elegant weather all round is it by the time you've got 3 layers on under a big coat and a scarf you look like Michilin Man and the trousers tucked in Wellies was never a good look either. I know I'll never win any fashion awards but at least it keeps out some of the chill.
Oh roll on Summer!
Stay Warm

just perfect ~love the little scene you created ~beautifully made

ReplyDeleteI love the colors you used they are soooo cute together.
ReplyDeleteYou still make me giggle! I lived in northern NH for a few years, so am well versed in all the strategies of trying to stay upright. It never works! I fell the last winter I spent there and fractured my wrist, and a vertibrae! To quote my son when he was little..."OOOWIE OOOWIE OOOWIE! So be careful out there! No shopping is that necessary! Love the card, and I'm sure Kiki will love it!
ReplyDeleteSorry, no new blog entry for me. But I've gotten a lot of cards made lately. It's a shame that I can't take photo's of them. Can't wait for the new camera!
How sweet is that. Lovely zingy colours.

Just too cute, Enfys! I love the papers and those pretty flowers. Guess I forgot how to do that snow shuffle last year when I fell flat on my bottom! Lots of padding there, so I survived the fall magnificently! LOL! Stay warm, girl!
ReplyDeleteLovely card with Polka Doodles-papers!!!
ReplyDeleteSweet greetings, Saskia :)
This is beautiful - love those sparkles you added to the flowers!
ReplyDeleteCute Card, Enfys. Trying to stay warm here..tonight's low is 7 degrees. ouch.
ReplyDeleteOT: Can you tell me what kind of Copic markers you have and where you bought them?
First of all what beautiful grandchildren you have. They are our sunshine aren't they. I have sit for a while now, and visited your blog. What a multi-talented creator you are. Todays card brought hope of spring. With wind chills below zero, we need reminders that it will soon be here, well maybe:). Thanks for leaving a comment on my blog, it is exciting to have new visitors.
