If it's friday, it must be Polkadoodles........

This week the team were asked to use the new Love and Cherish CD, which is packed full of the most stunning papers and images. Of course, I couldn't resist these owls, I printed them out twice and decoupaged some of them. I scrunched the velvet ribbon a bit to give it some texture, and really quite like the end result
Pop on over to Polkadoodles blog to see what the rest of the team came up with, there are some rather stunning offerings over there this week, and why not join in the fun, as usual there are goodies to be won
Quite what I am going to do with all these valentine cards that I am having to make for design teams I do not know. Mike would probably faint if I presented them to him.................any ideas folks?

I heard a little tale about my nephew's little boy that I must share with you, it really made me laugh. Dylan is a very bright little 2 1/2 year old little boy. His mum organised a hairdresser to cut the childrens hair in their own home. This did not go down well with Dylan, who roared and protested very loudly. 'Nearly finished now Dylan' said the hairdresser soothingly 'I just have to cut around your ears'
"NO! NOT MY EARS" yelled the frightened little boy " I NEED THEM FOR LISTENING"

  2. Your cards are wonderful. You could donate them to a nursing home or a hospital. I am sure that there are folks there who would be thrilled to receive a Valentine.

  23. I really enjoy your creations and your writing. Your grandchildren are beautiful. This card is so very cute, Enfys! You asked for ideas of what to do with 'extra' cards. there are two worthwhile organizations that I send cards to. http://www.sendlovetoday.org/home.html which provides support for people who have brain tumors, and their families.
also, http://www.hugsandhope.org/index.htm# is always looking for happy mail to send sick kids. Both are in USA but i imagine UK has similar worthwhile nonprofit orgs!
Love your stories! Things kids say - what a riot!

  27. My ears stuck out when I was a kid and when I was 5 I wanted a pixie haircut like my kindergarten teacher. The hairdresser told my mom she should just cut them off so as not to ruin the style. The haircut went unfinished because I was unconsolable. NASTY woman! ADORABLE card! All of those owls are sooo darn cute! Love what you did with the ribbon too. xxD

  29. Hahahaha what a cute little guy! I guess he didn't figure it out when he didn't feel pain or see blood that he was ok? lol I remember my oldest son's first haircut. My dad took him to the barbershop that he always went to. When Dad took him and put him in the chair, you'd have thought he was being tortured. Sad told me to go do something else and he'd find me when they were done. As soon as I was out of sight he stopped crying and asked for a lolipop! lol when I came back, he started crying again. lol What a ham! Love the owls, very cute! TFS

Oh and you could send your cards to OperationWriteHome.com or is it .org? Our troops could send them to their wives and/or girlfriends. The website has addresses and info to send them.

  31. awww that was the cutest how Dylan reacted!!!Reminded me of my cousins grandson that spent the night with my batch...Cameron wanted to switch pjs with Dakota since he had Spiderman ones...I said if he wants too. Dakota looked at me with the funniest face and said "Ya'll gonna take the switch to me?"I about lost it at that poor lil guy thinking I was going to whip him! I explained in Ohio we call switch to trade.
ohhh sorry I was going on I LOVE LOVE LOVe tyour card. When I worked at the flower shop my boss would deliver her extras to our local firemen and police station and I really thought that was nice...I am sure they don't get thanked enough.
