Looks like a card - but it's a narrow box to hold a gift of cash.....
I used a print and cut box from the Silhouette store and cut it with my Cameo - first I had to work out how to do it, it's been a while since I used the machine. I sprinkled Frantage shabby white embossing powder onto the snowman image and added a big white seam binding bow (from the Ribbon Girl)
Of course, when I had figured out how to use the machine (note to self: try to get to grips with this in the New Year.....), and cut out the box, it was apparent that it had been designed for US dollars, not British pounds. After all that faffing about I wasn't about to give up, and I just tied up the money with a pretty ribbon and put it in the box. So much nicer to receive than cash in an envelope!
Question of the day - from Max again.......
'Is Father Christmas a vegetarian?'
I think he must have been pondering why everyone leaves Santa mince pies/cookies and not a ham sandwich. They are going to leave him some sausages this year as well as the mince pies, so if this is a question you have been asking yourself for years, come back after Christmas for the definitive answer.........
I had a message from Google today to tell me that there have been over a million visitors to Going Buggy since I started it. A million! That's a lot of visitors coming to read my burblings and see what I have been up to, I feel very humble. thank you all for sticking with me!
See you tomorrow x
WoW! that is a lot of visitors - and I am one of them!!
ReplyDeleteYour Max has a wonderful mind
Only a million? I figured you would have 2 or 3 by now as wonderful as you are. I love your box for the cash.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on reaching the million visitor milestone! That's amazing! Love the way you used frontage for snow. I've never used that product, but I think I'll see if I can't get some to put in my own stocking. He he!
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet card ... the added snow is so perfect. I wasn't aware of the size difference of our money (pounds vs dollars). Although I hadn't really given it a lot of thought, since I have only seen British pounds in photos, I would have guessed them to be very similar in size. (Good thing I don't get paid for "guessing", right?) *wink*
ReplyDeleteI love Max's inquisitive mind, and that is an excellent question. I'll be back after Christmas to hear the answer. =)
WOW ... one MILLION visitors to your blog is totally FABULOUS! I am sure they have all enjoyed their visits, and been inspired by your crafts, as much as I have. Here's to the next million! (hugz)
I'm privileged to be 'one in a million' Enfys. I visit each morning whilst having my coffee. Have a lovely day. Sue x
ReplyDeleteGosh, what a lot of visitors - good job you don't have to provide tea & cake for us all.
ReplyDeleteToni xx
That is gorgeous Enfys, never heard of frantage (I know I must live under a rock). Wow to so many visitors, amazing but no wonder as its the best place to go for a chuckle.
ReplyDeletePinky
I bought this same design, hopefully I will be inspired by your details and mine will turn out okay. I just got my machine, let's just say, I'm excited!
ReplyDeleteI love Max's questions! My daughter's big question when she was small was, what is Mrs. Claus' first name...LOL!
Have a great day and CONGRATS on a million visitors to your site! Too bad you didn't have a pound for each visitor!
I love the Snowman box, congratulations on having a million visitors, that is amazing!! I love the cozy snowman
ReplyDeletesweater card you made yesterday, I
didn't have a chance to comment on it. I got a laugh out of Max's
question about Santa. How cute!

Thats great!! (feel free to post any tutorials and tips for use of the silhouette - afraid mines gathering dust - too scared to use it!!) P.s. congrats to your hubby for his award xx
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on the 1 million mark!! It is your crafting style & wit that keeps me coming back every morning.
ReplyDeleteDonna K U
Wow, does that make you a millionaire? Congrats. Love that snowman. I think sausages are better than mince pies. Less chance they will get crushed going back up the chimney.....
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the million visitors! Max has such great insight to the world. I love hearing his thoughts. I never thought of leaving anything but cookies for Santa... hmmm no wonder he's so fat!
ReplyDeleteCute little box. You'll figure out how to cut the box the right size. TFS Hugs, Jess
