I got back to my desk today, had quite a productive time up there, but the light had gone, so too late to photograph, so I am showing you two more cards from last month's Papercraft Inspirations magazine (on sale now in the USA). The theme was 'Quick Cards' and the brief was make a wish
I am loving my iPad - look what I did. I went to the Cricut website, clicked on information, then cartridge library
all the cartridges are listed (well, annoyingly they take ages to put the newer ones on there). I clicked on view in the right hand column for the cartridges I own, that opened the handbook
I sent them over to iBooks......TO DO THIS, CLICK ON THE TOP RIGHT SIDE OF THE PAGE AND YOU WILL SEE THIS ICON
CLICK ON 'OPEN IN iBOOKS - and here they all are in a virtual bookshelf
You have to do each book individually, you can't do them all at once, but it only takes a minute to do
the pages show up just like the handbook, in colour and easy to read
This really will be a huge help to me, I really like to read the handbooks, in fact I have been known to take a pile of them to bed with me. I read them like saner people read the latest John Grisham, so now I can have a browse wherever I am, and I don't even need to be hooked up to the internet to read them. All I need is my little notepad and pen to jot down ideas - wait, I think the iPad can do that as well. Hmmm, one step at a time - I do promise that this will be the first and last iPad tutorial!

I'll be back tomorrow with a round up of my favourite cards for 2011
LOVE this!!! I would love an Ipad it would be great to use with my cricut like you are, maybe someday *sigh* Thanks for showing us that tip though Love it! I also love your cards :-)
ReplyDeleteYou are just hysterical!!! And I congratulate you on being so tech savvy!! I don't have an Ipad...and I am totally technologically illiterate!!

More lovely cards Enfys.
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure I'd be able to use anything that techy - I struggle if my PC does something that I didn't want it to do LOL

Wow, lovely happy cards! Hugs, Hanneke
ReplyDeleteGreat Cards! Your IPad sounds wonderful! I don't have one, but I wouldn't mind the odd tutorial. I like learning about things. Max and Milo are looking soooo much alike! Milo has grown so much, he's a little boy instead of a baby. Thanks for sharing and Happy New Year my fiend.
ReplyDeleteHaha! Lol, glad to know I'm not the only person who has taken a stack of Cricut handbooks to bed to read!
ReplyDeleteFunny, but I thought that was one of the best reasons to own an iPad ;- ) Made me really want one. but don't tell my hubby, because he's dying to have one and we don't have the money for it right now. Great birthday card ideas, too! Those sweet boys just keep on growing up. Don't you wish you could save them at this point ;-) TFS, Enfys.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your new iPad. How fun. I have an iPhone and love it. Yes, I agree, keep on bringing us tutorials on the iPad because I know I'll wind up with one someday. I love anything techy and take instruction books to bed with me all the time. Your boys are so beautiful and growing up right before our eyes. Happy New Year.
ReplyDeleteThat's a pretty cool way of viewing your handbooks and I would so really love to do this too if I could just pry the iPad from my kids :(. One of these days, one of these days.....Love the cards, Enfys!

Would it be possible for you to explain how to send the cartridge book to ibooks. I was lucky to get an Ipad for Christmas, and it is great.
ReplyDeleteThank you
Patsy
I tried to send my handbooks to iBooks, but can't seem to figure out how to do this. Could you please explain step by step?
