Do you remember the butterfly that was my first attempt at airbrushing, made just before I went to CHA?
Whilst I was there, at a Hero Arts class we made a card using the resist technique, I loved the little panel, but didn't care for the card design. So when I got home, I found some pattern paper by Papermania to use as a background, and put the two together.
The sentiment is by Lili of the Valley stamps stamped onto Hero Hues cardstock
How was the resist piece done? Stamp your image with embossing ink, and emboss with white embossing powder. Swipe the whole thing with China Blue distress ink pad, until the paper is totally covered. Take a tissue and wipe, the ink will come off the white embossing.
Dab your blue ink pad into the centre of the flowers to add depth, then take a green marker and colour in the leaves. Give the white embossing a final wipe, and add some pearls. It's a long time since I used this technique, and it was fun revisiting some old favourites
See you tomorrow
