I have been busy unpacking, and trying to find a home for all this stuff, which is just a fraction of the goodies I brought home with me from CHA......................
Here are a couple of the make and take classes I did. This first one used glass etching, the first time I have ever tried that. Fascinating the way you spread the gunk on and leave behind a etched image. I will definitely try this again, and I loved this album
Edited to say that I have found out that this class was taught by Pat Davenport, and I have to say it was the most organised class I went to the entire trip. Everything was ready for us, and we managed to complete the entire album in 2 hours. Thank you Pat, great job!
I think you can just about see that two of the pages are acrylic, the papers were so pretty
I also loved this pretty wooden box that was a make and take on the Provocraft stand. It was designed by Sue who is one of the in-house design team for Provocraft, she designs a lot of the projects that are featured in the cartridge handbooks. Originally from the UK, she was the sweetest person, warm and friendly.
The fabulous flower was cut from George I think, about 6 layers, that we spritzed with water, then crumpled up before layering
It got a bit squashed in the suitcase on the way home, but you get the idea

Scroll down if you are here to enter your name to win the BIG Cricky. Honestly, you lot are making me feel as if I am abandoning a puppy or something! The truth is, I don't have a fancy scraproom, and although I love the little green bug, he needs space. I considered myself very fortunate to get to CHA, and I had such a great time, so this is pay-it-forward time..... I am keeping the little guy you see in the photo above though. He will fit in nicely.
See you tomorrow
Wow Enfys! Look at all those goodies!
ReplyDeleteLooks like you got some good stuff!!! If you need a home for it- I will send you my address!!!

ReplyDeleteHi Enfys - Mandy and I finally got home safely - what a journey....
ReplyDeleteIt's lovely and warm here, but sad about the bush fires. Over 60 homes lost - though no lives lost thank goodness. The bush fire was in the hills just a few miles from us, we saw it from the plane as we arrived back in Perth....
It was lovely to meet and spend time with you at CHA, hopefully we can all meet up again in the not too distant future - Hugs Jane xx
Wow! Did you get all of that for free? The romantic papers with the hearts on look amazing. Are you having a giveaway? I would love to use those. I don't suppose you are, but thanks for sharing. Bet you have lots of fun. Enjoy.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful projects!
ReplyDeleteWow! Lots of goodies. I will give him a good home in my craft room. It gets cold in Montana, so I will make sure he has a heated bed...made just for my new baby:)
ReplyDeleteTake care and thanks for all the great CHA info!
Linda
You brought home a great haul! The glass etching acrylic book was taught by my friend, Pat Davenport. : D I help her edit her Cricut class notes and also am the designer for her website: http://www.patsreadysetcut.com
ReplyDeleteHoly cow! Look at the loot! I agree you were very lucky to go to CHA. I'd love to go. But that's not likely to happen. So I just look at all the videos and pix and gloat! I can't wait to see who wins Cricky! He's a lucky bug, most of just want to step on them! lol I'm glad you're home safe and sound. Hugs, Jess

Wow! You sure came home with a lot of goodies, didn't you! I love glass etching, but haven't done it for years! I have seen a lot about it recently, so I'm guessing it is making a big comeback. Maybe because with the Cricut you can do so much in the way of designs.
ReplyDeleteYour projects are wonderful! Maybe you could do a tutorial on how to do that flower, or even written instructions would be great, it's really lovely.
Amazing make n takes! Sounds like it was an incredible time. Thank you for sharing your wonderful experience!
ReplyDeleteWow Enfys you certainly collected a lot of nice goodies. Love your make and takes the etching is amazing I have only ever seen it done on glass before.
ReplyDeleteKim xXx

Love your CHA goodies. Would also love to adopt your green cricut. With an Irish last name and St. Patrick's Day coming up it seems like a good match for me to win. I'll cross my fingers. Green really works in my craftroom.
