Cute little wedding card.

When I went to the NEC craft show I was very taken with the Lili of the valley stamps and bought a few of them, but they also had sheets of some of their most popular images printed out and die cut ready to pop out, so of course I thought they would be perfect for quick cards, I just love them.
The pink vellum is embossed with the dots embossing folder, I inked the edges of the card and the die cut image with versamark baby pink. Some organza ribbon tied with a couple of hearts from a pack my Funky Hand teamie Jules sent me, all it needed was a sentiment.......

One of the things I did yesterday was to pop in and see my crafty friends here, we get together every thursday, lo and behold Cheryl had just bought these acrylic sentiment stamps from Stampin Up, so I had to stamp a few, and it's perfect for the card, a nice casual font, and not-too-gushing words
and yes, I did make this card last night, so back in production folks.

The car is mended, it needed a new battery, I don't think cars like being left on their own in a garage for months with just a trickle charger for company. We are settling into our 'new' way of life, and gradually adjusting to the time change. Did I really fly over here for just a week when I was younger, and go straight to work after an overnight flight on the way back? How did I do that? When did my internal clock change so stealthily? My clock worked well enough for me to make a trip to Michaels, I wandered around muttering 'I do not need any more paper, I do not need any more paper....' like a mantra, and managed to come away with just a few dollar stamps (oh and a couple of Martha punches, well everyone is allowed a little weakness).
See you tomorrow

  4. What a sweet card. Glad to hear that you made it back safe and sound. I had wondered if perhaps you got stuck in the UK with all the volcanic ash etc. You must have gotten out just in time. Glad to hear that it was just a battery for the car, yup I think they get lonely!
Isn't it nice to be warm again?! Of course, everyone here is determined to prove that they have AC. I always take a light jacket with me ~ just in case!

  5. Enfys, this is just too sweet! The embossed vellum is the perfect background for that cute little image. Great job! Also, I'm so glad you didn't leave Michaels empty handed ... it's just so disappointing when that happens.

  15. Hi En

Lovely to know that you are all installed and back up and running and in production mode.

The little hearts look lovely on your card .. .. never thought of combining two .. .. as in two hearts in love and getting married. Thank you for the inspiration.

    Love Jules xx

  17. I forgot...no, cars do not like being left alone for a long time. In that respect they are like pets. They often tear up something you need or love. Then you must replace it! Either way, you're always left with a repair bill.
Glad it was only a battery.

  20. Your quick card is very pretty!
So glad your car was easily fixed.
I have to say a mantra too when
    shopping at Michaels. "I don't
really need this." It doesn't always work, especially if it's on
    clearance! Ha Ha :D

  23. Honestly Enfys, the more paper we have, the harder it is to find exactly the right paper we need for a project! Why I keep buying more is beyond me! The card... OMG! It's adorable! Love the image and the pretty layout! Glad to hear your wheels are running again! Have a great weekend!

  24. Gorgeous card En, it does look like you've stamped and coloured it. Our car died a few weeks ago, exactly the same problem as yours, new battery needed. You were very lucky getting out the UK when you did, my neighbours son is stuck in Malta, and my friend is stuck in Ireland.
Enjoy playing with your new things.
