On to today's card........
Polkadoodles have got the cutest new digital stamps in stock, the beauty of digis is that they are instant gratification - buy, instant download, print, colour.....saves space and money as well! I tried a while ago to move from wood mount stamps to cling, the problem with that is that I keep losing the cling stamps! They probably get swept up in the hurricane that is my desk while I am working. These digis are a joy to colour, I'll have another card to show you tomorrow, and a Polkadoodles treat for you as well
Who would have thought that revamping a kitchen would be such hard work. Of course, the fact that I seem paralyzed in the decision making department isn't helping. I am usually very decisive, and know exactly what I want, but I seem to be changing my mind about all the details. We ordered some worktops (countertops), after about three hours of searching in a single store. Later that evening, I was hit with the terrible knowledge that I had made a terrible mistake...I was at the door of the store as it opened, to change my order. I almost took a packed lunch with me. There was a definite lift in the voices of the staff as they finally wished me goodbye. I bet they talked about me after I shut the door - 'I thought she would NEVER leave.......' They even called me later that day to say in a tentative voice 'we are just going to place your order. Is there anything you want to change before we do?........
So today we moved on to the tiles......no, I can't even begin to bore you with that. Tomorrow is another day, yes folks, tomorrow is door handle decision day. Yawn
See you tomorrow if you can bear all the kitchen waffle.....

Love this image and your double doily effect. I know what you mean about remodeling a kitchen - been there done that kind of thing. Hang in there. It'll definitely all be worth it. Oh, yes - I commend you for changing your countertops BEFORE the order was sent in. They should be thanking you for that!
ReplyDeleteLove that image - I'm gonna pop over to look at Polkadoodles site for the digi images. Perfect colouring as usual. I can see we're going to be entertained for a while to come with your kitchen tales - you're a natural born storyteller!! Pat x

Congrats to Kathr! Several yrs ago,we bought a house that was under construction. So I got to pick out all the colors, carpets, tiles, vinyl, and paint or wallpaper. Wxcept for the carpet, I went with what the builder's wife had chosen. I just couldn't decide. Turns out our taste was similar because when it was all done...I liked it! Good thing I guess.lol Love the card. I too like digi stamps. However I need a new printer, so mine are locked inside!
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the Kitchen. And How is Mike getting on?
Hugs, Jess
What a gorgeous card, the image is so sweet and I love the dotty background. I am very indecisive, at least I think I am!!!! xx
ReplyDeletePrecious card - TFS! and I'm with you on the kitchen update. I've finally got my "decorating mojo" back and I'm redoing my cabinets and painting, tiling and adding a plank ceiling in the kitchen and dining room! I won't even tell you what's next as I'm waiting for delivery of a new "set in" stove which costs $1400 'cause they don't make this size anymore - disgusting!!!!
ReplyDeleteGood Luck to you on your updating!
Jackie
