No card today, just a warm wish to all of you for a very happy, healthy and creative year in 2011
I am still sniffling and sneezing my way around London. Yesterday I spent time with Kiki and Monty and we went to Toys R US to spend the Christmas gift money that was burning a hole in Kiki's pocket. As we drew up she said 'Carphone Warehouse is next door to Toys R Us Ma, that's very handy isn't it?'
'well yes, if you want to buy a new phone and some toys at the same time, it is very handy' I replied
'and a new car' she pointed out 'you could buy a new car, and a phone and some toys'
How on earth do you explain to a six year old that Carphone Warehouse doesn't actually sell cars.....................that's right, move on swiftly to the next subject.
Here they are, clambering in and out of a very pink princess playhouse at Toys R Us
New year resolutions? I always swing between making far too many totally unrealistic resolutions that are broken by the end of the first week in January, or thinking 'nah, I won't bother, I never keep them anyway'. This year I seem to be in a resolution making mood. As a lot of them involve housework in one way or another, I doubt they will even last a week. 'Oops' I will think as I clean the oven for the first time in the year (in April or thereabouts) 'I resolved to do this job every week this year'
HAPPY NEW YEAR, MAY ALL YOUR RESOLUTIONS BE REALISTIC
Enfys,

Your kids are so cute~love that you share them with us. I had one of my preschool students tell me today that I need to get pregnant now that I'm married, since, apparently, 'that's the way life works'-they say the funniest things! I'm going to try to make my resolutions realistic. I know my hubby will help me out with the organizing craft stuff. . . not sure what else I will come up with, though!
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year to you and your family Enfys. The kids are adorable! Shari (cricutrookie)

ReplyDeleteHappy New Year... I think I will add that resolution to my list to... that makes number 101. :)
I'm a really bad resolution maker. Or maybe it's that I'm a bad resolution keeper! Which ever, I usually don't make resolutions, but this year, I'm going to try to be better about trying to sell some things in my Etsy store. We'll see! Sure wish I could find a local shop that I could sell through, but it hasn't happened yet.

Happy and Healthy New Year to you and yours, Enfys. Other than resolving to be a more diligent blogger and scanner of cards made, I'm resolution free for this year. Just watch, I'll end up doing everything I resolved to do and never did all those other years!
ReplyDeletehugs to you, eileen

ReplyDeleteHappy new Years Enfys, Great story about the Grand babies.
ReplyDeleteThey are beautiful!!
Sounds like you are feeling better.
That is a good thing :-)
Happy New Year to you too Enfys. I understand about conversations with kids all too well. My grandsons (whom I see almost daily) are 4 and 6. They both have very indepth vocabularies ( everyone is astonished how grown up they talk) so we get into some very deep discussions. The older one has been after us to sign contracts regarding several different subjects lately.
ReplyDeleteHello there Enfys, Hope that you're feeling a bit better now? Your grandchildren are so beautiful and you've taken some great shots of them.
