Fabric card

I haven't made a fabric card for ages, and this little lady just fitted the bill for a quick card I needed. The linen effect background paper is by Sassafrass, I stamped a few branches (Hero Arts) onto the paper in versamark ink, just to break it up a little. I used a new punch by Recollections (which I think is the brand name for Michaels own brand products). I love super large scallops, so snapped this one up.
The fabric is Loralie cat fabric, the sentiment is Stampin Up

If you are new to the blog and don't know how I use fabric on cards, scroll down to labels, and under 'video tutorials' there is a quick video on using fabric as images on your cards
Well, we have a winter wonderland here - we have had about six inches of snow, it looks lovely, but is very frustrating as we were planning our 'santa' run down to London tomorrow to take down presents and see Kiki and Monty. That would be foolhardy and stupid since the journey is not strictly necessary, but I am disappointed. Hoping it clears enough for us to make the journey to my other son for Christmas day. I am NOT dreaming of a white Christmas.
I think I will spend the time I would have spent travelling, getting productive in my crafty cupboard, I am beginning to get withdrawal symptoms from my lack of inky fingers

  12. Your card is so nice.
Your part of the world certainly has had alot of snow!! I live in NY State and we haven't had more than flurries - yet. Last year we had the kind of snow you're getting now. Nice to look at. Not fun to shovel. I hope you will be able to travel to spend Christmas with your family.

  13. Sorry that you won't make your trip. I hear you're having quite a snow storm. A cousin missed yesterday's party because he was delayed out of London Sat & ended up making an emergency landing in Nova Scotia yesterday! Take advantage of the snow. It'll be a good chance for you to get crafty :)

  14. Ooooh, I feel for you, I am dying to see my grandchildren on the 27th and hope to goodness we're not snowed in. Love the card. I am getting a Sizzix Bigshot for Christmas. I am so excited I can't begin to tell you!

  15. Love the card. I still haven't tried using fabric like this, keep thinking I will and just don't get to it. I really should.
I'm guessing 6 inches isn't the norm where you are. In my neck of the wood 6 inches doesn't do a thing to keep up in. Once it gets to about a foot, I might think about going out. It's all in what you're used to.

  16. Enfy's, This is really adorable. I love the stamp.. I will have to come back and look at the fabric instructions...For now I am cleaning and checking my list for things I need to get done before Christmas. We have snow here also and yesterday we almost did not get to go to church...They were having the childrens play and It was so cute...I am so glad we ventured out. Snow does have a way of changing our plans...Hope you have a non-snowy Christmas! God bless, Pamela

  17. These characters always make such lovely fun cards.
Shame about the weather but I think your right to stop where you are. It would be no fun getting stuck on the roads somewhere for Christmas, santa wouldn't be able to find you to deliver that huge pressie your waiting on lol.
    Merry Christmas
