I have been making some samples for Anice, the owner of Funky Hand, using the fabulous Colour Me Happy CD. All the papers and the image were printed from the CD. I printed the shoe onto some spotty paper, punched some holes and threaded with ribbon. The square buttons are a paper from the CD, I just printed them out and cut out individual buttons
Here's another sketch from Craftwork Cards. I was a bit late getting this one in, but do pop over there to see what people have done with this sketch
I did a very literal interpretation of the sketch, papers, butterfly and card candy by Craftwork cards, flowers by Prima. I left off the second butterfly because it made the card look unbalanced
It's been a miserable couple of days weather-wise here in the UK. Lashing rain and quite cold. As I shopped for groceries I noticed that my handbag, slung over my shoulder, seemed really heavy, I was walking like Quasimodo. So when I got home I investigated - one purse, bulging with till receipts, a phone, a paperback book, another paperback book (I like reading....), a phone charger (??? -I have no idea), an iPod, a Nintendo DS both needing recharging , 7 lipsticks, 3 lip gels, 3 bottles of hand sanitizer, a tube of moisturiser, lip salve (as if I need that with all that lipstick), £4.65 in loose change, (mainly pennies that I had thrown in the bottom of the bag), my diary, a notepad and pen, a small umbrella, perfume, two of Kiki's hair slides and a random collection of stuff - bits torn out of newspapers and magazines, a half eaten bar of chocolate and so on. Add the three pairs of sunglasses I had in there, and I am pretty well prepared for anything, in fact I could probably go for a weekend break somewhere and survive quite well with just the contents of my bag. Heck, if I shoved a swimsuit and sarong in there I could go on holiday for a week - at least the sunglasses would come in useful.

ReplyDeleteWow! I thought my handbag was bad but you beat me hands down! Lovely cards!
ReplyDeleteIt may have been a literal translation but it works FUBULOUSLY! I <3 it
ReplyDeleteI thought mine was bad, too! Your's really must be the size of a suitcase that our children use to tell me that I needed!! LOL Great cards. Really like the colors of the shoe and the flowers and butterfly are great!! :)
ReplyDeleteGreat cards Enfys!
ReplyDeleteYou are too funny!!! People always tell me my purse is too heavy, but I don't have near as much as you do.
ReplyDeleteLove the cards, as usual a great job.
I love the soccer boot, needed it 6 weeks ago. Will have to ge that CD too. If you empty out your bag somewhat, think how much faster you will get around LOL!!

ReplyDeleteYou really weighed your shoulders down with all of that but I do the same thing. As we go about our daily tasks, one by one: things go into the purse!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful cards!!!!
And I thought my handbag was bad...my husband calls it the blackhole, but you've got me beat! lol
ReplyDeleteJust wanted you to know that you inspired me to actually start my own blog ( http://iwycd.blogspot.com ) ...thanks you. I have a ways to go yet. You guys make it look so easy.
Which is exactly the reason why I carry a small handbag! I used to use the bigger ones, but I got tired of the 'Quazimoto shuffle' and being lopsided all the time.
ReplyDeleteCute cards. I love the literal use of the sketch. It's very pretty.
Hugs, Jess
Love, love, love your butterfly card! It is just too darn pretty! I really had to chuckle over your purse contents! Is it the size of a small suitcase? :) :) Send me some of your rainy weather and I'll send you some sunshine! It has been over 100 degrees with heat index of 110 for the past week with more on the way! TFS!
ReplyDeleteWow En, great. Higs
ReplyDeleteI love your sketch card!
ReplyDeleteThe shoe card i really had to look at closely. i could have sworn you had to cut different papers, but no, it is just the cool polka-dotted paper with the image! Very cool.
Your purse should be in the circus with the clown car! I think you'll need to stick a ladder in there too for that show!
What a wonderful cards Enfys.
ReplyDeleteHugs Riet.xx

Great cards, love the trainer one perfect for those hard to please teenagers lol.

Kim xXx
Oh my gosh, you are so funny. I think someone finally beat me in purse belongings! I don't even own a DS....yet! Love both of your cards.
ReplyDeleteMary Ann
Just love that orange cleat. (That's what us yanks call those shoes. LOL) Your handbag contents made me laugh. I was wondering like the others, what size is your bag?
ReplyDeleteWhat great cards! The football boot one is so original, I love the ribbon threaded through the holes!
ReplyDeleteMy handbag is almost as heavy as yours, but that's because it's full of coppers that I throw in when I get change. Your bag sounds much more interesting!
luv, Mags x
I love this card! Boy, your handbag was full! Do you play the DS yourself??? 2 paperbacks, I can
ReplyDeleteonly handle one at a time. :D
LOL! I had to laugh at your handbag description! I do the same thing - throw things in there (some to never be found again) and don't take anything out!
ReplyDeleteBoth of these cards are really cute!
