Here's another card I made for Scrappy-Go-Lucky, using the Serenade cartridge. The papers are all anonymous ones that I have had hanging around for ages
Edited to say in reply to Janet: I usually do put the sizes of the cuts on my posts Janet, missed this one, sorry. The base card is 6" square, with rounded corners, the flower pot was cut at 1 3/4", and the flower at 3"
I put some glue in the centre of the flower, and sprinkled it with tiny seed beads
Now that I have my (horrible) passport photo, I need to fill in the forms. Do they have to make it so difficult? There is a twenty four page booklet with instructions on how to fill in the form! Of course, you have to find someone to countersign your form, and endorse the back of your (horrible) photo to say that it is a true likeness. Well, I will be very insulted if anyone says that the (horrible) photo is a true likeness of me. What's more, this counter-signatory person must be an upstanding member of the community (a doctor, teacher, police officer are some examples they give of fine upstanding members of the community). So that rules out grabbing the postman when he delivers the mail. No, it has to be down to my friend Anne, who will never let me forget just how horrible the photo is...........

Enfys, your card is sooooo.. pretty. Good luck with you passport. Shari (cricutrookie)
ReplyDeleteI just love your card!! The seed beads in the center are great!! They always make filling out forms the worse that they can be!! Double, triple, etc. Awful!!! Hang in there, surely Anne won't make tooo much fun of your photo! :)
ReplyDeleteA very pretty card! The seed beads look so nice in the center of your flower!
ReplyDeleteVery cute card!
ReplyDeleteI hate having to renew my passport, but I'm not remembering it to be that much of a pain here in the US. And those pictures!!! We can't just get one from the booth, we have to have a particular size and only some places can do it etc. Pain in the neck!!
As for a likeness, let me tell you, one time I was in your fine country and I had to use some travelers checks. I had to show some ID and my drivers license was easier to get to, so I showed that. The man in the store was the sweetest thing and looked at it and then me, then it again and said: "I can see this is you, but at the risk of being a bit forward, may I say that you are much more attractive now?" Shows how really horrible that picture was eh? I did want to give him a big hug though.
oooooh that is gorgeous en, i love the warm summery polka dot paper and the plant pot is beautiful, i think your centre of the flower is amazing too xxx
ReplyDeleteWow, Enfys, this is really wonderful.

Cute and I love the papers. The green and yellow are perfect.
ReplyDeleteEnfys, You card is so cute....love the sunflower.
ReplyDeleteI alway love your stories you tell. it makes it so fun to come to your site.
Holy Cow En! That just makes me want to rethink overseas travel! I've never had a passport, but I guess they have to make it hard, so not just 'anybody' can get a passport...
ReplyDeleteLove this card! TFS, Hugs Jess
Love the card En. Good luck with the passport - always such a flipping nightmare to organise, aren't they?
ReplyDeleteI think all the cameras that are for photos on passports or driver's license are made to take the most horrible photos. They never look good. Ilove this card. The images on the Serenade cartridge are sooo cute.
ReplyDeleteI think it must be a rule of the passport office that your photo has to look like an escaped convict and nothing like you, I know mine does, no wonder it takes so long to get back ito the country these days, not one person actually looks anything like their passport photos!!
ReplyDeleteI adore your cards En, especially that gorgeous butterfly one. That CD is on my Christmas list, it looks really beautiful.
Hugs Lisax
Lovely card Enfys. Like the clean lines of this one. Highlights the flower in pot.
ReplyDeleteMarion
love the flower card ~what pretty beads to use for the centre!!
ReplyDeletedon`t talk about passport photos ~someone told me "no makeup and pull hair back of your face" mmmmmmmmmmm so i have nearly ten years left with that photo!!! will not be travelling in the near future!! LOL
vanessa xx
Why do you not give sizes on any of your projects? They really are luvly but please next time put sizes of flowers etc. Luv Janet
ReplyDeleteGreat card so cheery and bright and I love the seed bead flower centre.
ReplyDeleteAlso I am just trying to help you here but I thought you didn't have to do that counter signing now as long as you have held a previous passport (which if you haven't how the ...... have you been travelling to the U.S for all these years)lol. My daughter just got her's renewed and didn't need to anyway, she was a little unsure and went and asked at the post office who confirmed it plus the new passport has arrived all OK.

ReplyDeletePS Glad you back is getting better!
ReplyDeleteLovely, cheery card! Love the seed beads. Do you use a special glue for that? Good luck with the passport business. Pam
