Oops, this photo is supposed to be at the bottom of the post. Never mind. Here is our little easy rider, Monty. I am not the only one who thinks he is gorgeous, he has been snapped up by a big London kids model agency. He has already done a shoot for the Littlewoods catalogue (a bit like JC Penny's catalogue for those of you in the US), and we heard today that he has been chosen to do the shoot for the Boden catalogue/advertising campaign. So those of you in the UK who get those catalogues, do look out for our little munchkin. He looks as if he is not at all sure what to make of his first bike ride though.
Here's a peek at some of the cards that I made for Creativity magazine, on sale in the UK now. The difficult thing about making cards for a commission is that you often have to use supplies that you wouldn't normally use - like these diecut decoupage figures for male cards. When I had scratched my head a bit and started work, I was actually pleased with the way they turned out.
I like the sentiment I came up with for the cricketer.............
and I was pleased with the layout of this card............
I thought the red and lime green popped on this one. What do you think? All the products used are available from Docrafts
So how was scrapbooking day for you? As predicted, I completed only three cards in seven hours! Unfortunately the air conditioning in the store wasn't working, and I honestly thought I would melt - it was a VERY hot day! I had to keep reminding myself that three weeks ago I couldn't wait to feel the warmth of the sun
Well I can see why they chose Monty, he is just too cute. AND I love all the cards, wow.. they are amazing. I was playing over at the Pink Stamper, I did 3 simple cards and a calendar...I am not very happy with them and I worked all day on them. I need for you to send me some of your creativity...

Hi En
ReplyDeleteAll I can say is thank goodness those decoupage images were die cut - otherwise you would have been there for ever!!!
All of your creations are brilliant and very inspiring.
Sounds like you are nearly melting!!
The weather here in England has been very mixed. One minute beautiful sunshine and the next dark clouds and even thunder yesterday!!!
Your little "Easy Rider" looks gorgeous. I'm not surprised he has been snapped up.
Love Jules xx
Hey Enfys, I love those cards! I've seen those decopage thingys online, but I could never see them actually made into a card. Now that I've seen your's, I see how much fun they could be.
ReplyDeleteCongrats to y'all about your new little model! Didn't I just say the camera loves those kids! I wish I could get a peek at the catalogs to see him. What great scrapbook layouts that wouls make!
I didn't get to play yesterday, as we had to go to the funeral of a very old and dear friend. Maybe next year. Thanks for sharing.
Oh what a fab shot of your little Monty, great news for you and your family; another star in the family!
ReplyDeleteGreat cards, it must be hard working with elements you usually wouldnt but youve done so great with them, I especially like the cricketer!
Keryn x
Way to go Monty what a little super star. Love the cards, I agree about the die cuts I also find them a problem but you did a grand job.
ReplyDeleteKim xXx
He is a cutie patootie!!!!! No surprise he was picked for the modeling gig! I love your cards, the dimensions, colors, FANTASTIC! Yesterday was spent outside supervising my daughter as she cleaned our pool(above ground cheap blow up ring pool, that has lasted 4 years...LOL). I was a bit tired too, as I had one of my insomnia episodes the night before. Oh well, I need to get going on grad cards, so wish me luck!
ReplyDeleteCrafty Cricket Hugs!
Lisa Sturgill :)
Wonderful male cards. Monty is just the cutest and he'll be precious in print! Hugs...Kris
ReplyDeleteHow cute is Monty and a celebrity to boot!!
ReplyDeleteI saw your name in lights in the Creativity mag, great cards, En.
Enjoy the sunshine.
Lisax
What a cutie! Monty will have money for college. LOL
ReplyDeleteLove your cards.
I got two pages done and one card. I think it takes longer to take the picture and write about it. I was doing them to get in on a couple of challenges at The Pink Stamper. Oh I stared my day going to a SU class. If you had other friends around you did wonderful getting done what you did.
Grandchildren are certainly a gift from God. I adore mine no matter their age. Your cards are great. Those are really different embellishments.
ReplyDeleteHi Enfys I wish we had decent weather over here, its been raining of an on for the last 24 hours and its cold to boot.
ReplyDeleteFabulous cards and I think youve done a brilliant job with what you had, and like you I love the cricket one to.
Well done and congratulations on your grandson being picked for the shoots, he is precious and now you will be able to show him his photos when he gets older. With love and hugs Shirleyxxxxxx
OMG! How exciting, Enfys!!! All of your grandchildren are absolutely beautiful, so no surprise there! Go get 'em, Monty! You did a wonderful job with the decoupage cards. I think the lime green on the red works fabulously!
ReplyDeleteYour little guy is adorable!
ReplyDeleteI think your cards came out great, I have a tough time when I 'have' to use certain products sometimes too. Somehow I get brain freeze. LOL
Got a lot of work done for the business yesterday, but other than that only one card that I did for the Creative Belli Challenge blog.
Oh, and last night I played a bit with the SCAL 2 that I got recently. Love that program!
Enfys,
ReplyDeleteThese cards are so different great job. I love all the things that you seem to come up with especially the girlie cards. We are getting rain but no flooding around my house so far. Take care and I love the cards. I posted 2 new ones. I was playing with the Pink Stamper yesterday also.
These are aLL AMAZING!!!
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Emma:)
