No card today, but as promised some photos from the Lake District. Yesterday, we went to a most beautiful garden called Holehird, overlooking Lake Windermere - and were secretly smug that while wind and rain lashed the rest of the UK, we had glorious warm sunshine...
Autumn is just starting to show her face, some of the trees are just starting to turn ....
I love taking photos of flowers, I get such a lot of inspiration for crafting through the camera lens - the way certain colours blend perfectly in nature, sometimes in an unexpected way.....
So there we are, photo heavy, but I hope you don't mind tagging along on holiday with me this week....
See you tomorrow x
Beautiful!

Thanks for sharing these beautiful nature pics.
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing the beautiful pictures and it's so nice to see you had great weather! Thank you for mentioning the flowers you photograph are a great inspiration when coloring flowers. I have tons of floral pictures and it never occurred to me that I could do this. Always learn something from you so thank you and enjoy the rest of your time away!
ReplyDeleteThe photos are beautiful! We've never been to that part of the UK, but would love to visit sometime. thanks for having us along on your trip! BethAnn M.

I don't mind at all, I just watched several videos that Fiona J took while she was on holiday here in the U.S. and then back here to several places back home. So thanks for adding this lovely garden to the places I've been this summer. Hugs, Jess

Beautiful photos. I do believe you have a second talent so that if you should happen to not do cards anymore you could be a photographer for a well known magazine. What fun.

Wonderful pictures and a wonderful region. My very first trip to the UK was a walking holiday with an elder sister when I was almost turning 17. Unfortunately, we had almost 3 weeks of rain but we enjoyed our trip regardless, and it was the first of many holidays I spent in the UK.
ReplyDeleteThis is just the sort of thing that most people consider a typical English landscape. We are so lucky to have the beautiful views & pretty blooms that we enjoy each year - I think we're all a bit guilty of just taking them for granted, I know I do! Glad the weather is being kind to you, enjoy the rest of your break. Pat x
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful! The Lake Country of the UK is definitely on my bucket list. Thanks for sharing your fabulous photos.

Gorgeous pictures! Just came back from a couple weeks in Ireland leading a small tour, only 6 of us and we are looking at coming to England next summer. Probably to the Cotswolds. Hoping to see lots of gorgeous places like this with that tour. Thanks for sharing these with us.
