Here's a few photos of a cardmaking session I did for my sister's flower club, it's only a small club, and none of them are cardmakers. I designed four simple little cards for them, and set up everything on four tables, so they moved around for each card....
Everyone is wearing their coats, because the caretaker of the hall had fogotten it was Flower Club night, and didn't turn on the heating. It was freezing!........
I think embossing powder and a heat gun was a bad idea for beginners, there was more embossing powder on the floor than on the cards! They all thoroughly enjoyed themselves, and went home proudly clutching their four handmade Christmas cards....
and in all the dashing around between four workstations, I totally forgot to take photos of my cards!
It's my birthday tomorrow, and my kids have arranged a family afternoon tea party down in Surrey, so be prepared for a photo fest - I rarely get all my chicks in one basket....

ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday, Enfys! Hope you have a wonderful time with your family.
ReplyDeleteThis is such a pretty little card and your flower embellishments are the perfect addition to complete the cards.
ReplyDeleteDespite the cold, the ladies from the Flower Club look like they are having a wonderful time. I am sure there was much laughing ... but they do look a bit serious as they are bent over their projects, working away and striving for perfection. Hmmmm, now where have I seen that before? Oh, of course ... it's exactly how I look as I am working on my own projects (which is very true!).
HAPPY BIRTHDAY Envys. Having a family tea party sounds like a lovely way to celebrate your special day ... hope it's fabulous!
Lovely cards Enfys.

Looks like they sure had a good time, even if it was cold!
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday to you, I know you'll have a lovely time with the family.
My Mom's birthday is on Monday and she'll be 89. Had a party planned for her on Sunday, but now it's postponed due to a break out of something awful at the assisted living home where she lives. Hopefully it will all be under control on Monday and I'll be able to visit and maybe take her out to dinner. She deserves it.
Oh and by the way, she is fine, but they are being especially careful about the spread of this scourge!
the card is lovely, adorable little flowers. Sounds like you had fun making the cards...cold temps and all:)
