I do love these stamps from Hero Arts, for this first one I stamped the tall pines background in distress ink, can't remember exactly but think it was Aged Mahogany. Then I stamped the trees, in brown again, onto white cardstock and sprinkled with Frantage embossing powder which I heated from underneath to melt it.....
this one is pretty much the same, except the shaped card base (which is embossed) from Craftwork Cards, and I think the ink was Stormy Sky - one of the blue distress inks anyway. More Frantage and I was done. Very quick and easy. The Crimbo card box is filling up nicely now....
I saw a sweet little dog with it's owners at Dunkin Donuts, she was all golden and fluffy and had ribbons in her hair. They had her in a doggy pushchair, very smart, just like a baby stroller but with a flat bottom for the pampered pooch. I saw someone with one of these on my last visit, I have never seen a doggy stroller in the UK, our dogs are hardy tomboys over there, they walk and run and dig and sniff - I would love to see the faces of the Brits if they saw a dog in a stroller! By the way, this little princess wasn't paralyzed or anything, they released her from her
See you tomorrow
Wow Enfys, I love both of these cards.
ReplyDeleteI think the brown is my favorite and I usually don't care for brown anything.
But I love this card, very pretty.
These are gorgeous I love both colour ways the stamps are beautiful as is your design. Caroline xxx
ReplyDeleteOh I love the brown and white one - very elegant. I think those doggie-strollers are ridiculous and haven't seem many here in Aus, but I do live in a rural town, all our dogs are either using their own feet or tied on the back of a ute!! I'm sure there's some in the major towns and cities though - complete with bling-bling outfits!! :)
ReplyDeleteLove both your cards, beautiful result! So glad you found that missing stamp. Have a super weekend. Ruby x
ReplyDeleteGorgeous,very festive, very eye-catching X

Beautiful cards Enfys - I really love the blue one. Doggy strollers? The mind boggles! Have a fab weekend. Pat x
ReplyDeleteFabulous cards Enfys. Both gorgous colours and super designs xx
ReplyDeleteI thought the same about doggie strollers, Enfys until I was told that people could take their dogs to shops, cafe's, etc. as long as their feet didn't touch the ground and they were "contained". Even then I thought "how ridiculous" until my husband and I addopted a dog that doesn't like to be left home alone. Don't have a stroller, but I do carry her around a bit.
ReplyDeleteLove the cards by the way.
Hi Enfys, I realy REALY love your cards, very wintery love the colors and the texture. I crack up everytime I see this women who lives nearby, she strolls along with one of those doggy strollers except that she has a cat sitting in it? Hope your feeling better.
ReplyDeleteCheers
Claire

here in Belgium and also in Holland .
Have a nice weekend
Jenny
Love, love, love these cards! Stunning and elegant. Very nice Enfys.
ReplyDeleteLove, love, love these cards! Stunning and elegant. Very nice Enfys.
ReplyDeleteLove your cards Enfys. I'm not a very big fan of brown, but in this case, your card looks great - both cards have a very wintery feel to it - feel like I need a hot coffee from Dunkin Donuts :)
ReplyDeleteDoggie strollers - yes, I have seen a few, mostly with little balls of fluff in them. I wonder when they are going to bring out the Rolls Royce models in order to accommodate the 90 lbs dogs? After all I'm sure they too would enjoy shopping sprees?! :)
Love Love Love both these cards. So glad you found your stamp. I was so hopeing you would.
ReplyDeleteLovely cards En. I haven't been in my scrap space in over a week. With all the laundry Added onto everything else. I wash at least 2 usually 3 loads of mom's stuff everyday. Sheets blankets et al!
ReplyDeleteSo by the end of the day, I'm just too tired to play! Sad for sure. lol Any way a few years ago I went to my 40th highschool reunion. (Lord am I old!)One of my class mates had their dog in the car. When we were outside, the little thing was in a stroller. I had never seen such a thing. Since then I've seen several. My friend said it was because the breed was so small that if it got stepped on it could break it's fragile little spine. Really....I wish I lived such a pampered life.
NOT! lol Big hugs, Jess
Wonderful creations. TFS!
ReplyDeleteHaven't seen a doggie stroller in Albuquerque. I'm sure they are around but just not in the part of town where we live. :)
Hugs, CyndiU

Enfys...You are my biggest enabler. Every time I see your beautiful cards, I have to go search out the stamps and buy them. LOL. Trouble is, I find a few extra things I could use also...This card is so beautiful. I love that you share your awesome talents with us. Thanks so much...God bless, Smoochie
ReplyDeleteLovely cards-simple and elegant. Like the brown one best. Glad you found your "lost" stamp--as for doggie walkers-haven't seen any-maybe it IS a Dunkin Donuts thing. Hugs.
ReplyDeleteNancy from Ohio
They are beautiful cards Enfys, couldn't even pick a favourite colourway. No never have I seen or do I want to see a dog in a buggy, weird! Was even contemplating excusing it if the dog was unwell then I read the rest of your post lol. Don't eat too many donuts in case its whats in them making people strange lol.
ReplyDeleteThese cards are so pretty. Glad you found your missing stamp:-)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful cards!! I had a feeling you'd find that stamp!
ReplyDeletelove the cards. So elegant looking
ReplyDeleteGorgeous cards. My favourite is the brown one, although I'm normally not a fan of brown. But your brown card is really elegant.
ReplyDeletelove both the cards the blue is my fave it looks like a cold crisp night, i think i would need a triple stroller for my three do they come up big a lab and 2 english springers mind you i couldnt take them in the shops they would cause havoc. hugs ginnyy
ReplyDeleteLove the tree cards, the Frantage is so effective. I would giggle if I saw a dog in a pushchair, not an everyday sight in Bournemouth! I am glad you found you stamp - I am always losing stuff and my husband finds it somewhere I have already looked! xx
ReplyDeleteReally love these cards Enfys - they are beautiful.
ReplyDeleteSo glad you found your stamp as it can be so frustrating when something goes 'missing'.
Toni xx
Hi Enfys, Wow they are both truly striking so effective too! the blue one is my favourite but they are really equally stunning your so talented x
ReplyDeleteBeautiful cards! I love that you showed it in 2 different colors.
ReplyDeleteAs for that doggie stroller, I've lived here all my life and have never seen one. So I'm going to vote for just another DD thing. LOL. You do find the most different people!
I really like your cards. After reading so many of your interesting stories, I feel I need to get out more! LOL
ReplyDeleteBarbara in AZ
Enfys, these cards are stunning! Love them. As for doggie strollers...I have seen a few in the city but none out here in the boonies. I think they are a little silly but, to each his own! I could never imagine my black lab sitting in one when she was still with us...she liked to sniff & run too much to be confined like that!
ReplyDeleteHugs, Renee
I love the brown card. So elegant. My brother has a doggies stroller and it's so cute. They cost $100!
ReplyDeletelovely cards not sure which is my favourite like them both, my friend saw a doggie stroller in Wales a few weeks ago everyone was looking in, yuk angxxxx
ReplyDeleteFabulous cards dearest Enfys^_^
ReplyDeleteGorgeous coloring^_^
Hugs,
Sonia
Love these simple yet strikingly beautiful cards. Here in Australia I have never seen a doggy stroller. I thought the idea was to take your dog for a walk, get it some exercise, not take if for a stroller ride! Are US dog owners creating a generation of fat, donut loving lazy little pampered pooches?
ReplyDeleteTwo beauts! I especially like the blue one..so dramatic x
ReplyDeleteEnfys,
ReplyDeleteI love this card.........Great Job.......
