Fishing.......and a question

Here's a card I made using a Lily Boo digi image - you can get it HERE

I cut out the circle with a nestability, cutting the fish out first by hand so that it fell outside the circle. I made a modified easel card, and used papers by DCWV, and a sentiment button by Craftwork Cards

Interesting lot of comments from yesterday's post about the Magnolia stamps, including an email from my pal Anne, who sometimes pops over here to see what I have been up to. She loves Magnolia cards, calls them 'the little girl with no faces'. In response to my 'angels don't have mouths............' she wrote to me saying

'Of course they do. How do they sing and say 'Fear not.......' if they don't have mouths. You need to get to the bottom of this'

So, has anyone got any theories on the mouthless issue? Funny or otherwise, enquiring minds need to know

  8. Probably designed by a man who was fed up with his wife nagging him, so thought this option was the perfect mute button for the ideal woman?

    Maybe.

  9. I think the artist just isn't good with drawing mouths, so they are left off.
But it could be as someone else said and they were left off so you could determine the expression.
I don't have any of these stamps and also have a problem with the no mouth thing.

  10. Love your card Enfys especially how the little fish dangles there. I think the magnolia stamps are faceless so you can add a face yourself but I seem to be the only one who does this lol. Faceless creatures freak me out!!

  12. Cute little fishing card for your grandson! Love the fishie!

Don't know about the mouth - the expression on the faces, depending on how we use it, the colors we decide to use and the sentiment king of "paint the picture!"

    Blessings for a great weekend,

  13. Your friend Anne and I think alike. I said the same thing in the comments to your post. Now this little guy is a sweetie. Love how you kept the fish separate. The papers are a great choice and love that you made it an easel card. Thanks for sharing, Enfys.
