This one is the one I did for CWC blog last week. The flowers are their die cut blossoms, which I put on a rubber piercing mat and rubbed each petal with an embossing stylus, the petals curl up and crinkle in a very satisfactory way. I put some card candy in the middle and put a trail of glue around that, which I sprinkled with seed beads
the flourish was cut from the Mother's Day cartridge, everything else is from CWCards

Spring must be in the air, we had our first squirrel visitors to our garden yesterday. They have probably been dreaming all winter how they can divebomb my tubs to eat all the budding flowers, what a pain they are. They are very fond of crocus blooms I notice, so they have those as an appetiser, move on to the pansies for a main course, and finish off by gaily digging up daffodils and eating the bulbs. Obviously daffodil bulbs are their version of Ferrero Rocher chocolate. I'm surprised they don't tap on the window and ask me to make them a after-dinner coffee. We bought some stuff called 'squirrel gone' which you scatter liberally around, they are supposed to hate it. Not our squirrels, it makes not a jot of difference, in fact they probably eat that as well, a nice little mid-morning snack, Yummy.
oh this is gorogues hun, adore the flowers, they are lush, hugs cheryl xxxx
ReplyDeleteEnfys these soft colors surely remind me of spring. Love the flowers with the seed beads in the center. We have one big squirrel who likes to sit on our back wall and taunt us so I know how fun (and what a nuisance!) they can be. Hugs...Kris
ReplyDeleteReally nice card! I love the flowers that you made. The color are so delicate and elegant. Lovely work. Thanks for sharing.

This is a lovely card Enfys!! Great idea how you made the flowers!! Hugs, Frea
ReplyDeleteLovely card Enfys and such spring colours. We have the same problem with deer. Doesn't matter what "deer proof" plant I put in, it seems to be the flavour of the month for them.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card Enfys, I love how you did just a circle around the center, it looks so much prettier than when you fill it all in like I always did. I will be casing this idea for sure. Sorry to hear about the squirrels.
ReplyDeleteThis is a delightful card, lovely colours and I am really liking the shape card bases.

Oh Dear Enfys, sorry about the squirrel invasion, they seem to have been eradicated from around here, I think theyve got trapped and then taken somewhere else as theyve dissappeared from our local park. I thought the Forestry thought of them as pests.
ReplyDeleteLove your flowers they are gorgeous and your card is beautiful. With hugs Shirleyxxx
What a beautiful card! Love the seed beads. I would have never thought of that. Thanks so much for sharing your creations with us.

Beautiful card. I love the use of the flourish, very clever.
ReplyDeleteAs for those squirrels, have you tried using ceyanne pepper to deter them? I read that the products on the market mostly contain either pepper or concentrated fox or ceyote urine, since I don't figure you happen to want to collect the urine, I'm suggesting pepper.
Hey you think you have problems, i live in the city and i have deer that eat everything, I have not had a tulip bloom in 8 yrs....My pansies are never seen, my hosta's are chewed up so bad it looks like it went through a tornado....hum....darn animals but i have to say it's nice to see them. Beautiful card. TFS! www.canadiancraftcorner.blogspot.com
ReplyDeleteLove your flowers Enfys, gorgeous shade of pink, makes a great card. I think you might need a catapult for those squirrels:)
ReplyDeleteReally beautiful card! Love the flowers!
ReplyDeleteEn, the card is beautiful. I thought you would get a kick out of this...my middle daughter who is 9 told me she is going to visit England when she is grown. She said she can't wait to see all the sand and live in a castle like everyone else. I'm not sure exactly what she thinks England looks like but I have a feeling she may be surprised. LOL
ReplyDeleteabsolutely gorgeous and i love the pastel colors.
ReplyDeletei actually heard birds chirping this morning. spring? oh i do hope so!
hugs :)
Simply beautiful! Sorry I haven't been visiting...Love these flowers...just gorgeous! TFS!!
ReplyDeleteLove your paper flowers...they're so very pretty! So sorry to hear about your hungry pests...they are such a nuisance, aren't they? I hear they like paper...best keep them out of your craft room! :-0

Your card is precious. I do love the Sugar Nellie "adorable" images. I've got all of the first set and think they're great. I love the colors you used. I have some seed beads, just never really thought what I'd do with them. Thanks for the inspiration. Hugs, Debra
ReplyDeleteOh my, what a funny story! Living in an area where we have some pesky little ones as well, I know how frustrating it really is!
ReplyDeleteI love your flowers and will be trying these myself!
Blessings, Donna

Lovely card, Enfys. Love the colors and the addition of the seed beads. The squirrels have appeared here in the midwest too. I saw one shinnying up the 10 foot high pole that hold my bird feeders. My DH and I are probably more fun to watch chasing them and running them out of the yard. Deer are our plant problem. The price you pay for living in nature ;- )
