Here's the last Sugar Nellie image for a few days. For this one, I cut a label shape (Go-Kreate) in white and ran it through the cuttlebug with the sissix dots folder. Then I cut another label shape in the same size in pink, and cut around that with the next larger sized die to create a frame, which I stuck to the card with foam pads.
I cut the coloured image out, and popped her onto the frame.
The tiny sentiment echoes the shape of the die perfectly, and the flowers were cut using the Posy Patch stamps and dies from Heartfelt Creations (available very soon from Sir Stampalot in the UK)
As you read this I should be safely at Olympia. My kids, knowing how hopeless I am, have given me idiot proof instructions on getting there. There is a general feeling of anxiety/hysteria in the family about the fact that mum is on her own, trying to get from A to B, without the aid of a GPS, a map, or a well trained Sherpa guide to help her navigate the streets of London. I know, I know.....it's quite pathetic really, how did I get this reputation? Oh yes, it may be something to do with my recent adventures in Los Angeles, or the time a friend and I drove for about fifty miles when we were making a 5 minute journey in Orlando.
I will take lots of photos to share with you tomorrow
So wonderful card Enfys,I love the image and the colours.
ReplyDeleteSo gorgeous papers.

ReplyDeleteThis is lovely enfys xx
ReplyDeleteVery pretty card, as always.
ReplyDeletePLEASE tell your children that everybody does this at least once and perhaps MORE than that as the exits are miles apart: "drove for about fifty miles when we were making a 5 minute journey in Orlando." HA!
en she is just beautiful hun. I hope you have had a lovely day at olympia by the time you read this and had a fabby time hugs Lou xxx
ReplyDeletePretty card Enfys, love how you popped her up. Have a safe journey.
ReplyDeleteAwesome! Your images are colored so well they actually look like photos! TFS
ReplyDeleteLovely, card Enfys. I like how you made the flowers match the image. Don't you hate it when people take a couple tiny navigation mistakes you make and hold them over you forever ;- ) Have a great time.
ReplyDeleteI love this card! I need to get those stamps...TFS! Enjoy your trip!

Gorgeous card! You do amaze me!
ReplyDeleteAs for getting lost, well it happens to the best of us. I'm pretty good at following a map, so when we travel, I am usually the navigator. Especially anywhere out of the US. One time when we were in England, we were staying near Cambridge and were going to visit friends in St. Neots (sp?) Well, I'll tell ya we had the hardest time getting out of Cambridge, I think 3 times we thought we were on the way only to find we were back where we had been before. Micheal's comment when we told him what happened? "What are you crazy? You actually drove into Cambridge?" I hear that there is no longer driving right in Cambridge itself now. Don't know if that is true or not, but I'll tell you, either way, we will go around next time. LOL!
lol This reminds me of how we used to tease my mom when she was still driving. She was trying to get to a hospital in down town Charlseton to visit a friend. I was in Connecticut, but she called me for directions! I guess they weren't very clear. She got lost. She ended up pulling into the first place she saw a car parked. Then went amd pounded on the door to ask for help. A 'very nice young man' came out to help. He gave her directions, then he took a matchbook and wrote his number inside and said if she got lost again to stop and call him and he'd come to her rescue! Ceriously nice guy...he told her to lose the match book because he was sure she wouldn't want her family thinking she'd been to his business...
ReplyDeleteShe said she didn't care what kind of business it was! He was nice and she would tell us all she had stopped at a strip club to ask directions! Which she did. lol we still laugh about that.
Enjoy the visit with the kids.
Jess
