Here's a sneeky peek at one of the cards I did for this months Papercraft Inspirations magazine, on sale now in the UK. I was asked to do a quick Easter card and came up with this
Thi circles and ovals were cut with my Cricut (george cartridge), the flowers were doodled freehand onto some pink spotty paper (making memories), and I gave him a spotty ear as well. Some more doodling, a cotton ball for his tail and there you go......quick and easy. The sentiment is a stamp by Great Impressions
I have had a major blog fest here, catching up on visiting everyone, and clearing my emails - it was a bit of a marathon I can tell you, but now I feel all virtuous and almost ready to tackle the pile of filing that needs doing. Mike and I have very different attitudes to this chore - he would let the pile reach the size of a small mountain, then painstakingly file it, page by page, all in it's proper place and in chronological order. Me? Well the pile of papers drives me mad, so I quickly and haphazardly shove them into the drawer, so that when the car needs insuring, you are quite likely to find the paperwork in with the water bills. Which explains why I found a pile of papers tucked under a chair. 'I hid them' he said simply 'so that you wouldn't file them'. Oh goody, that's another job ticked off my list then.......
So cute! Love that you cuttlebugged him and his little tail and bent down ear are adorable!
ReplyDeleteExcellent card, must that that bunny with circles! Think I more like your husband had to put them away only thing is my filing system keeps changing and I can't remember which one I was following last lol.
ReplyDeletePinky

OMG...How adorable! I love how you bent one of the ears and the pom for the tail is just too stinking cute!
ReplyDeleteOh, that's too cute! Love your doodled flowers and the bunny's turned down ear and cotton tail just add to the fun! Filing? What's that? LOL! One of my least favorite things in the world.
ReplyDeleteHe is the cutest bunny!!!! I'm going to try this!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea to make a shape bunny. I need to do that with my first grade. We are studying shapes right now. I love the flowers you made and the extra doodle.
ReplyDeleteOMGoodness ... this lil bunny card is super super adorable! Love the bunny showing his back side and the fluffy tail. The floppy ear with a splash of color is genius. Enfys, you always seem to come up with the most creative designs! Oh how I love seeing your lovely work!!!

ReplyDeleteEnfys,
ReplyDeleteThis is so cute. Another great card from you. Thanks for all the great things you do. Keeping up with a family and having time to blog to viewers is a balancing act. Keep up the great work.
Ha ha, unfortunately, I also hte filing and tend to pile it up mountaineoulsy (is that a real word?) then shove it all in acarrier bag then eventually file it meticulously (6-8months later!) Quite shocking really.

I love everything about this card, En! So Cute!
ReplyDeleteI have lots of piles. I plan to do something with them, but when I finally get around to it, most of the pile is irrelevant so I just toss it! lol

Enfys, what a simple yet adorable card!!! I wouldn't have thought to use the circles and ovals for a bunny, too cute!!!! The flowers are just delicious!!! I wish I could doodle as well as you do! I think I may have to case this card if that is fine with you...it's undeniably the cutest Easter card I have seen yet.
ReplyDelete*hugs*

Look at little Monty!!! He is precious! I know you're proud!
ReplyDeleteI love the card.
And I think you should let him file everything. Just make the pile so that it's in a corner behind something until he gets ready to file! Maybe an oriental screen or something....
I'm sorry I haven't done a blog post lately. Been recoperating from Don's hospital stay. Going to try to do it today! And I've got to make some 'spring bugs' for a swap so I can get them mailed this weekend.
Maybe I'll find this months mag at michaels soon! Take care
Your bunny card is so sweet! I love your filing story. I don't even want to glance over at my pile! Thanks, Pam
ReplyDeleteEnfys....your doodled flowers are awesome, love them. The cute bunny with it's fuzzy tail.adorable.
ReplyDeleteYou know what's funny.......I was just sorting junk mail and old bills to shred. My DH is the one bad at it...we almost got no health insurance once because of his bad habit, GRRRRRRRRRR.
This is just adorable. Your flowers look like a professional stamp.

Thanks for the tip about the yogurt. I decided to try them for keeping me regular. Don bought 2 packs of 4. We now have 6 of the 8 left. YUCK! I never have liked yogurt, but I thought I'd try. I didn't like it at all. So I thought I'd freeze it. Oh my gosh....that was worse. I guess I'll have to either bite the bullet and eat it anyway. Or continue on the way I am! Don did tell me yesterday he can see that I'm losing weight!! Hooray! We don't have a scale, so I only weigh when I have a Drs. appointment. Ah well...as Don is fond of saying "it is what it is". Thanks again for the info.
ReplyDeleteHugs, Jess
