Fishing.......and a question

Here's a card I made using a Lily Boo digi image - you can get it HERE

I cut out the circle with a nestability, cutting the fish out first by hand so that it fell outside the circle. I made a modified easel card, and used papers by DCWV, and a sentiment button by Craftwork Cards

Interesting lot of comments from yesterday's post about the Magnolia stamps, including an email from my pal Anne, who sometimes pops over here to see what I have been up to. She loves Magnolia cards, calls them 'the little girl with no faces'. In response to my 'angels don't have mouths............' she wrote to me saying

'Of course they do. How do they sing and say 'Fear not.......' if they don't have mouths. You need to get to the bottom of this'

So, has anyone got any theories on the mouthless issue? Funny or otherwise, enquiring minds need to know

  1. I agree ... there's always Angels we have heard on high singing, Glooooooooooooria in ......

Love the card En, I haven't seen a LilyBoo image in a while. I'll have to go back through all my digi images and reaquaint myself.

    hugs, eileen

  2. I`m keeping "MUM" over this one....

    hugs Diane xx

  3. Cute card, love the dangling fish!

  4. very cute card.love the soft colors on the card.tfs

  5. This card is so cute thanks for sharing x

  6. oh he is just fab en, love the weasel fold too.
magnolia's,mmmm, i absolutely love them to bits and the answer from me for the no mouth thing would have to be.....urgh did you see the ones he did with a mouth??!! i just didnt like those ones!! i think she was called matilda or something !! hugs Lou xxx

  7. love this little chap fishing ~fab colouring!!
as for tilda/edwin is it so they don`t have expression??? so they can be used for any cards???..we say/express so much with our mouths....whatever i love my magnolias!!..guess you can draw a mouth in!

  8. Probably designed by a man who was fed up with his wife nagging him, so thought this option was the perfect mute button for the ideal woman?

  9. I think the artist just isn't good with drawing mouths, so they are left off.
But it could be as someone else said and they were left off so you could determine the expression.
I don't have any of these stamps and also have a problem with the no mouth thing.

  10. Love your card Enfys especially how the little fish dangles there. I think the magnolia stamps are faceless so you can add a face yourself but I seem to be the only one who does this lol. Faceless creatures freak me out!!

  11. Wow, gorgeous card, the little fellow is so cute.

  12. Cute little fishing card for your grandson! Love the fishie!

Don't know about the mouth - the expression on the faces, depending on how we use it, the colors we decide to use and the sentiment king of "paint the picture!"

    Blessings for a great weekend,

  13. Your friend Anne and I think alike. I said the same thing in the comments to your post. Now this little guy is a sweetie. Love how you kept the fish separate. The papers are a great choice and love that you made it an easel card. Thanks for sharing, Enfys.

I love reading your comments, thank you for taking the time
