Make and Cake

Well, as always when you are dreading something, the journey to Olympia was a doddle....I was hopping on and off trains with all the aplomb of a Londoner. Why do I always imagine worse case scenarios?
So here's the Papercraft Inspirations stand that was so beautifully done, all pink and white stripes, like a really trendy cafe.....all the buttons, beads etc for the make and takes are in glass sundae dishes, and the ribbons in sweet jars. Very original and pretty.
Here's Jenny Dixon, the editor helping readers with one of the make and takes

and Angela who had designed them all. You can see the big theatre in the background where Dawn Bibby was doing demos throughout the day..

here she is, with a rather dishy guy from QVC

Make and take in progress.....

here are the card designs...

and a pleased customer with her finished card....

and here is Lisa, who is fairly new to cardmaking and has a real talent for it. She instantly altered the make and take to stamp her own style on it....

Here's her card. Good job Lisa

So perhaps today I will at least know what I am doing, and won't have to keep looking up the instructions on how to make each card! If you are going today, be sure to stop by and say hello, and don't forget your cupcake card entry to be in with a chance to win a prize

I guess I need to pay closer attention to the details...I thought you were going to visit someone in Olympia! lol Well I guess you did visit a lot of someones!!! Thanks for all the pix. I can't wait for my next issue. It takes longer to get to me in the states (I think).
Have a great time meeting all the new friends.

Really adorable set up! Looks like lots of fun. If I didn't have to fly across the ocean to get there I might think about attending. LOL! Thanks for the update and a peek at the show.

I know just how you feel, I always get het-up about going to London and changing trains and tubes. I don't know why as it's never as bad as I imagined. Looks like you had a good time anyway.
