But in the meantime, I trawled back a little way and found these snippets so that those of you who weren't around for the Dunkin Donut years understand a little of what I am burbling on about. Look HERE and HERE and HERE (this one is the one that still makes me chuckle every time I think of it) and HERE
So all this prefaces the fact that I got into the habit of buying a Dunkin Donuts Christmas tree ornament every year - of course now that we have sold the house in America to look at them makes me very nostalgic......
So this week a little parcel arrived, and when I opened it here's what I found...........
One of the daily readers of my blog (I am not going to name her, she knows who she is!), sent a lovely handmade card and the ornament saying 'I stopped at Dunkin Donuts and when I saw this ornament it said "send me to Enfys!"
I can't tell you how moved I was, that someone I have never met but has become a friend simply through this blog should remember me and take the trouble to buy this and send it across the Atlantic - an act of kindness that really and truly made my day, and one I appreciated so much. Thank you x
See you tomorrow x
En....Oh how welll I remember all the stories, and really miss you being here to share more. I have emailed... did you receive? XXX
ReplyDeleteHow sweet! I well remember your Dunkin stories and how they gave me a good chuckle. I'm going to go to the ones you've linked and have a laugh now, I could use it. Dreary weather here right now, so a laugh will be a good thing.
