More Nellie Snellen punched flowers...

I promised I would show you the Nellie Snellen flower punches. They have been hidden in a drawer and out of mind for a while, but after struggling with the Susans Garden dies, which are very pretty, but fiddly, I remembered these, and fell in love with them all over again. The green oval was also done with a Nellie Snellen die cut set, you cut the oval and all the little pieces and slot them in - another fiddly job, and I don't do fiddly, but the flowers are another matter........I love the embossed lines and the little raised centers..

You get two punches for each flower/leaf, you punch out the flower from the die with the solid silver flower on it, then pop it into the embossing punch (with the dotted outline), press down......and you get a beautifully embossed flower...I have quite a few sizes so they are easy to layer. They look just like the expensive Prima paper flowers you find in stores

This is so much easier than having to score the little veins on the leaves yourself, so these are back in my favourite-of-the-moment drawer. Expect to see more! Mine came from Scrappy-go-lucky in Australia.

I have been busy busy busy making cards and catching up with design team stuff for while I am away. The desk looks as if a bomb has dropped on it, ah well, I'll have a quick tidy up before I go....

See you tomorrow x

  2. Beautiful card, Enfys! Those are some amazing punch/emboss sets. I checked and they are available here in the U.S. but are pretty pricey as punches go. I'm going to keep looking for them, though, as I really like the look a lot!
