Here's another card from a past issue of Papercraft Inspirations magazine, a garden theme this time. I used Memory Box clouds and grass, and some prima flowers with some (naked, tut tut) buttons in the centers. I have a thing about unthreaded buttons, but these little ones were just so tiny only cotton would have gone through the holes, and would hardly be noticed, so I took the easy way out and didn't bother!
Yes, the coffee was lovely, but most of all I am enjoying the lovely warmth of the sun, I know that people who live in Florida year round are longing for cooler days with less humidity, but to me it feels like a blessing on my body, I love hot sunshine! Mind you, it does feel a bit sticky in the garage, which is where I craft. All unpacking is done, I have no excuse, I have a dozen projects that must be done soon. Maybe after I take a little trip to Michaels and JoAnns.............
My daughter in law sent this photo of Monty all dressed in his school uniform ready for his first morning at nursery school. He looks so sweet, and a bit scared as well - it's a big deal for a little boy who was only three in June
I'll be back tomorrow with a Letraset giveaway, be sure to drop by
Super cute! :) Thanks for sharing some sunshine!

ReplyDeleteLovely card! I remember the first time my kids were in preschool :( - I honestly believe it was harder for me than them. LOL by the end of their first week it was more like pulling them out the door because they didn't want to leave their new friends. Hang in there Monty!
ReplyDeleteloving the sunshine faces on your cute flowers and such a sweet pic of Monty...he'll have a ball at nursery...hugs kath xxx
ReplyDeleteI wish we had sunshine here Enfys -rain all day is forecast for up here. Love your card, at least that has brightened my day. Hope Monty enjoys going to nursery - how smart he looks!! Pat x
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the sunshine. Love Michaels and Joanns, wish they were in England.
ReplyDeleteAnother Wonderful card Enfys.
ReplyDeleteOh My ... what a fabulous photo of Monty. He is so handsome in his school uniform ... it's hard to believe that he is only 3 ... or should I say that he is ALREADY 3? They do grow fast, don't they?
Enjoy the Sunshine ... and you are quite right, since I am in Florida too, I can confirm that I long for the cooler weather. In fact, bring on the snow, I would even love that! It will never happen, of course, but still ... what a lovely change that would be!
Hugz,
Carol
Hi Enfys, Glad you are enjoying the sun.
ReplyDeleteWonderful card and sweet picture. You kinda wonder when little ones get to be little one. 3 and he is off to school. He is adorable and his teachers are going to love all his wonderful thoughts.
I love your wheelbarrow card and the photo of Monty is so adorable!
ReplyDeleteYour card is right up this master gardener's alley. I too love Florida. I believe the humidity in Tennessee is much more. I have a neice that lives in Orlando. I couldn't help but giggle a few years back when my husband and I visited her after a December cruise we went on. She was wearing long sleeves and talking about being cold in the upper 70's night temps. I can only dream of those temps in December.
ReplyDeleteLove the garden card! Also, Monty is the sweetest child. I have to wait until after the holidays to get to sunny Florida-can't wait. Like you, I love the hot sunshine!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your holiday!
Love the card. I think the naked buttons are perfect. All those flowers with tiny bows would look a bit strange. What a wonderful pic of Monte. Being a mom of boys, I remember looks like that. My first feeling was absolute surrender! And Oh how precious. Made me want to hug him. I'm sure you and the rest of the women in Monty's life feel the same way.
ReplyDeleteTFS Hugs, Jess
