Sunshine lovely sunshine.....

Here's another card from a past issue of Papercraft Inspirations magazine, a garden theme this time. I used Memory Box clouds and grass, and some prima flowers with some (naked, tut tut) buttons in the centers. I have a thing about unthreaded buttons, but these little ones were just so tiny only cotton would have gone through the holes, and would hardly be noticed, so I took the easy way out and didn't bother!

Yes, the coffee was lovely, but most of all I am enjoying the lovely warmth of the sun, I know that people who live in Florida year round are longing for cooler days with less humidity, but to me it feels like a blessing on my body, I love hot sunshine! Mind you, it does feel a bit sticky in the garage, which is where I craft. All unpacking is done, I have no excuse, I have a dozen projects that must be done soon. Maybe after I take a little trip to Michaels and JoAnns.............

My daughter in law sent this photo of Monty all dressed in his school uniform ready for his first morning at nursery school. He looks so sweet, and a bit scared as well - it's a big deal for a little boy who was only three in June

I'll be back tomorrow with a Letraset giveaway, be sure to drop by

  3. Lovely card! I remember the first time my kids were in preschool :( - I honestly believe it was harder for me than them. LOL by the end of their first week it was more like pulling them out the door because they didn't want to leave their new friends. Hang in there Monty!

  7. Another Wonderful card Enfys.

Oh My ... what a fabulous photo of Monty. He is so handsome in his school uniform ... it's hard to believe that he is only 3 ... or should I say that he is ALREADY 3? They do grow fast, don't they?

Enjoy the Sunshine ... and you are quite right, since I am in Florida too, I can confirm that I long for the cooler weather. In fact, bring on the snow, I would even love that! It will never happen, of course, but still ... what a lovely change that would be!

    Hugz,
    Carol

  10. Your card is right up this master gardener's alley. I too love Florida. I believe the humidity in Tennessee is much more. I have a neice that lives in Orlando. I couldn't help but giggle a few years back when my husband and I visited her after a December cruise we went on. She was wearing long sleeves and talking about being cold in the upper 70's night temps. I can only dream of those temps in December.

  12. Love the card. I think the naked buttons are perfect. All those flowers with tiny bows would look a bit strange. What a wonderful pic of Monte. Being a mom of boys, I remember looks like that. My first feeling was absolute surrender! And Oh how precious. Made me want to hug him. I'm sure you and the rest of the women in Monty's life feel the same way.
    TFS Hugs, Jess
