Okay folks, so here's the first challenge, I have made it simple, and you have a whole month to come up with a card or project using the main colours of
GREY, WHITE AND RED
(or Black,White and Red)
I listened to all your comments, and most of you seem to dislike the fact that some people have dozens of online friends voting for them, and others felt that a random draw didn't take into account the effort and time people have put in, so I am taking a deep breath, and hoping that I won't upset too many people, and, enlisting my sister Gwendydd and my friend Anne to help me (I haven't told them yet!), and together we will choose our favourite cards for this month's prizes. Please continue to give me your feedback on this - if you feel that you are a beginner, and feel intimidated at the thought of judging, please tell me, or any other reason of course. We can always alter it next month
Edited to say, as always you have all come up with the perfect solution - one prize will be judged as my favourite, the other one will be randomly picked. Perfect!
The very generous guys over at Letraset (thanks Paul) are giving TWO of you the chance to win a wallet that is custom made for your ProMarkers, PLUS a set of six Promarkers of your choice. As you see, the wallets hold 24 markers, fold into a stand, and are a perfect solution to organising your pens
Here's my card to start you off........
Please put your blog link - direct to the post with your card please into Mr Linky below, and please link back to Going Buggy in your blog post. I will be dropping by to see your creations. (If you are not used to doing this, just post your picture on your blog, click on publish, then click on the header of the published post. Highlight this URL in the address bar and copy, then paste it into the Mr Linky box. When people click on your name, it will take them straight to your challenge post)
It doesn't seem fair that those of you who don't have a blog can't join in, so if you email me a photo of your card, I will add it to this post. There will be a link to this post kept at the top of the blog for a month - challenge closes on 5th February 2012
Can I ask please, that those of you who don't do challenges, but enjoy seeing the cards, please click on the links to go to the various blogs, and leave a quick comment. It would be so encouraging for those who have taken the time and trouble to take part.
Good luck everyone - get crafting

If you have 2 items to give away, one could go to a random draw and the other to one selected by you and your friends. That gives a chance to win either way. I think online voting does get skewed by those with popular online identities.
ReplyDeleteHi Enfys,
ReplyDeleteI like the idea of having you and who you trust help out. I won't enter one if it's to be voted on because I've never wanted to be on Idol. I guess it's true of Linky, but that is the same for all. So, either way, you and your friends, or linky, works good for me!
Thank you, Enfys!
Donna
I agreed with RAP, to have random and selected winners. There are so many talented crafters (who are also DT) that take part in the challenge and beginners will not stand a chance.
ReplyDeleteI agree with RAP and Paperpapier.
ReplyDeleteI think you should always try your best, but some crafters have more skills or stuff and can create more beautiful things. It is not only the time you put in it. So I think random is a good idea. And perhaps a top 3 of the most beautiful cards selected by you who get a Going Buggy Top 3 badge?

I got fed up of doing challenges and not having them looked at so this way I may not win but at least it is being looked at and judged so whatever happens good or bad my work is being judged for what it is
ReplyDeleteJulie
Great idea, the two prizes, both peoples choices seen to. Although I always think that a challenge is about challenging myself. So win or not win, doesn't matter to me. Have a great day.
ReplyDeleteLovely card Enfys! So sweet of you to try to accommodate and include everyone in your challenge, you are such a sweet person.

ReplyDeleteYou try to take a simple idea and it becomes most difficult. That's they way things usually go in my life ;- ) Hoping to get it together enough to join in and love your prize any way you cut it, ha ha! You know the saying, "You can please some of the people.." You are such a wonder flu person to try to please all of the people, Enfys ;- ) Have a wonderful day!
ReplyDeleteohhh I am soooo doing this challenge....when ever I enter a challenge I think of it as a win win for me because I am creating something plus using some of my supplies...

ReplyDeleteThanks for the chance to join in with your very first challenge Enyfs.
ReplyDeleteIt can’t be easy making decisions on winners but I’m glad you had enough suggestions to help you come up with the perfect solution.

ReplyDeleteCouldn't resist entering your new challenge, love the black, white and red combination. Such a good idea to have a random winner and a judged winner.

Hi Enfys,
ReplyDeleteI love your card. I made one to enter your blog challenge. Thanks for the chance to win.
Hugs,

I am not too bothered if I win or not. It is a win for me to create cards to a given recipe, and to be reasonably happy with them myself. I do enjoy reading what others think of them. XX Maggie
