Two little christmas cards....and a DT call

We have a DT call going on over at Polkadoodles, a bit sad really because some of our team have moved to pastures new, Saskia has left to pursue other crafty interests, we will miss her and her fabulous funky style so much, good luck Saskia. In the meantime, Nikky needs FIVE new team members. If you love the Polkadoodles style, would like to get the CD's for free, make cards that will be shown on Create and Craft TV and can join us in our weekly challenges, then run over to Polkadoodles at once to put your name down. You can enter wherever you live.

Just a couple of very quick little christmas cards to share with you today, the papers are all by SEI, one of my favourite brands. The little angel and the noel stamp are $1 wood backed stamps from Michaels. The snowflakes are foam ones in the children's section of the same store, I'm all for cheating when it comes to christmas cards..... a jewel in the centre makes them look quite okay

This little image is from the Penny Black acryclic christmas set, I finally mastered the martha 'round the block' punches, all I had to do was read the instructions, they do look pretty though
Yesterday I escaped to the pool for a break, and just as we got there, we saw the space shuttle streaking across the sky on it's journey to space. It is about the fourth time I have seen a launch, never close up unfortunately, and each time I have been filled with awe at the incredible achievement of the scientists who make this possible. Well done America. That is the last time I will witness this probably, as the space programme has only one more flight before it ends

  1. Woo~Hoo!! Me first Enfys. How are you friend? Fine I hope, and by seeing these adorable little cards, I know you are fine. These are just adorable Enfys, and I have those same stamps, coloring them up now. They are perfect for those quick cards, and the paper is too die for. Love them both!

  16. Hi Enfys:
I just got the set of the MS punches and haven't used them yet - but it does look great on the card! TFS!
I know what you mean about the space shuttle - I was in high school in Winter Park (just outside of Orlando) when the first one went up - everyone came out onto the football field to watch - it was beautiful and we had one lone bugle playing a patriotic song while it went up - not a dry eye on the field! It's a shame it's ending!

  19. Hey En, these are really sweet cards. I want to get one of the Martha S punch sets. Maybe I'll drop a hint to Santa... I was able to get my first christmas gift on ebay last week. EEEEEHHAAAA For those of you who don't know, that's a Rebel Yell. lol
I didn't realize the space program was shutting down? I took my boys to the beach one year at night time to see if we coulf see a night launch. Even though we're this far away, the Weather man said if it was clear we should be able to see it. There were lots of folks with their telescopes all set up. And My youngest, Matthew, went running back and forth to ask if he could look through one. Finally he hit a soft touch and he and the guy who owned the scope, shared the entire launch with him. He was so excited!
I really love the magazine you sent. I spent all evening browsing and reading and rereading. I've come to one conclusion, and that is that the UK's card makers, are much more 'professional' than we are! Of course don't let any one know I said that. We do have many very talented people over here. But the cards in that mag were wonderful! All sorts of new ideas for me. Thanks again for all the goodies. Jess
