On Practical Scrappers this week, they are focusing on ways to use colour or white core cardstock. I used my favourite whitewash core-dinations and punched the edges with one of Martha Stewarts new 'round the block' punches, then sanded the edges so that the deeper colour shows through. The background paper is also by MS
I rubbed some prima flowers with an embossing pad, and sprinkled it with silver pearl embossing powder, and heat embossed them. I repeated this twice for each flower so that there was a nice thick layer of coating on each flower
The butterflies are a stamp by stampin up which I stamped on vellum, and then coloured the reverse with copic markers which gives a nice diffuse colour. The sentiment is by Hero Arts

Enfys, I LOVE this card. I like how you added the heat embossing to the flowers. Good to know that they can withstand the heat... I would never have thought to do that, for fear of the flowers wilting.

I saw some of the new MS round the block punches at Walmart on Sat. They were in the oddest place... at the end of an aisle with all the picked over halloween stuff. But the punches weren't on sale of course. In fact the display was full! Strange place for them, I thought. Any way, I guess I'll have to save up and spend the $ for them before the rest of the scrapping world sees them! TFS En. I always love your creations.
