What strange times we are living in, I hope you are all keeping safe and well. We have been in total isolation here for eight weeks now (Mike has been shielded by the government, which means he, and by default me, has to stay strictly at home and our garden). I spent three weeks giving my craft room a deep clean, it has never been so organised and shiny. The downside is that I seem to have chucked my mojo out with the rubbish, and now have no desire/inclination/inspiration to make cards. I have, however made a couple of mini albums which I will share later
In other news, at the end of February Fiskars decided they were disbanding the Fiskarettes Facebook page. After five years of running the page and team, this left me feeling a little discombobulated.......five years of projects made using punches has been a bit of a challenge, so in some ways I am not sorry to be let free to use anything I choose again. It has been a journey, I started the page with zero followers, and by the time it ended had built it up to 24,700+ who enjoyed the page. I made some very good friends over there, both visitors to the page, and the various design teams. Here are some of my punch projects that I was most pleased with......

Enfys, I am so glad to see your blog post today! You have been on my mind! I have looked for the Fiskarettes Facebook page since you stepped down. I am sorry they disbanded. Maybe you will get reacquainted with your Cricut? That's how I discovered you so many years ago.😁 I still use my Expression and refuse to upgrade since I invested so much in cartridges! ReplyDeleteEnfys, seeing your blog post today was a joyous sight that filled me with smiles. You have been missed my friend. I am so glad that you and Mike are being sheltered at home to keep you safe during these uncertain times. We are still under a "stay at home" order as well, however, we do have some limited freedoms. We are allowed to go to the grocery store, hardware store, pharmacy, etc., to get much needed necessities. Plus we can still go to the Doctor's office, Vet clinics, bank, and some restaurants, for take-out orders only. For me personally, I have stayed on the cautious side and have ventured out for necessities only. I have even postponed my Dr. appointments (these are general appointments and nothing urgent) until this is band is lifted. This means that I have not seen any family or friends and am communicating with others mostly through social medial, plus a few phone calls. Oh how boring life has become. Some restrictions are now starting to lift, yet I am staying put for now ... "better safe than sorry" has become my motto. I'll let others test the waters and see how they do before I dip my foot back in the pool again. I have to admit that I am getting a bit of cabin fever and long for interactions with humans in real life. Until I can safely do that again, I will remain grateful for social media and online friends. Whoa, I see that I have become even more chatty than usual ... sorry about that. Someone did a swatch of embossing folder patterns on fb and I seem to remember you did that ages ago, and I was going to do it too, but never got there. Maybe I will.......
