Locked out

Well that was a bit scary - I have been locked out of my own blog! I think some gremlin decided I was an undesirable person (how did it know?) and poof - I wasn't able to get on here and post at all.
Then they obviously checked my references, did a thorough background check, and decided I wasn't a danger to the general public after all, and here I am again...

Sharing a couple of Valentine cards I have made, the first one is a Z fold card that I did with a cascade of heart shapes....

and I rather like this next one, the simplicity of the gold and black appeals to me somehow...

So we are already into February - my least favourite month of the year. It's a bit of a nothing sort of month isn't it? Apart from Valentines Day there is really nothing to make it in any way special, (and let's face it, I am not going to get misty eyed at the thought of Valentines Day, however dearly I love my other half!)   The tinsel and glitter of Christmas seems like a distant memory, but the bank balance is still reeling from the shock of it all. The days are still short and cold and Summer seems light years away - but then the unexpected sight of a couple of Spring crocus bravely making an appearance can totally lift the February blues. Maybe Spring is just around the corner after all. Then there is the big trade craft fair at the NEC to look forward to later this month, with my pal Kath coming to stay for a couple of days.....there, February doesn't seem so bad after all....

See you tomorrow if blogger thinks I am a suitable person to be chatting to you x

  5. Blogger has a mind of its own I'm convinced. It took me an hour to sort my last post out all because it didn't like my photo format but didn't tell me! I like February as it feels closer to Spring and further from Winter.......Beautiful cards - I'm drawn to the gold and black more as I'm not really a pink person! Xxx

  11. Well I am glad that I didn't feel much like being on the computer here lately. I am happy you got it all straightened out though. T go locked out on FB and took forever to get back in.
The cards are very pretty. Of course I like the pink one best.
I don't think you could go wrong with the color pink plus having hearts on it equals a great card for me. You are back just in time that I am not missing anything. :) I know I don't reply to all of your post but I do read everyone :)

  17. Oh My ... locked out of your own blog home, now how rude is that! Glad you've managed to break that door down so that you can post your lovely projects again. These are fabulous cards. Like you, I am particularly fond of the black and gold card. The colors have a classic richness to them and the gold against the black really pops, giving it an extra boost of eye appeal. Love it!

For me, January is the worst month ... maybe it's the "after holidays" blues? I love the fun and excitement of putting up the tree and decorations, but it's always a bit of a sad feeling to take it all down. I start to perk up once February is here ... what can I say, I am a true romantic at heart. Luckily I am blessed with a DH that remembers dates like this and always comes through with something special. However, this year may not be the best. Keith's cancer has returned, and he is now undergoing daily radiation treatments. I don't believe Valentine's Day will be his key focus this year ... and it shouldn't be. My gift is that he is still here with me, and that is the best Valentine of all.

  19. Gosh, nightmare. Here in Norway we have valentines and mothering sunday on the same day. This sunday it's fastelaven (start of lent) so that's what I call cream bun day. Yummy. And if lent is starting that means pancakes.... ooh look Shrove Tuesday on tuesday. I believe in celebration multi-nationally, especially if there is food involved. February's looking good. Hugz
