The inspiration for this card came from those MFT stamps where the ladies never have their heads showing. The base card is 6" square, and I cut the expectant mummy from the New Arrival cartridge with my Cricut machine at 8", then, feeling like Henry VIII chopped off her head......... then cut off her pregnant tummy
the bags were cut from New Arrival as well, the pink and white ones are the diaper bag - I ran the black and white bags through the cuttlebug, using the tiny dots folder
gave her a bit of bling, and I was done. It's always nice when an idea in your head works out just as you imagined it!
I have had a bit of a disaster here, water has been dripping from the ceiling of my crafty cupboard right onto my supplies below. The plumber has been out, shaken his head gravely and been unable to trace the leak. So now I have boxes of stuff out of the cupboard, floorboards up in the bathroom above, and black sacks full of soggy papers. I might just go back to bed and pull the duvet over my head......................

ReplyDeleteEn, you are a constant source of inspiration. I would never have thought to cut off her tummy!!! I love this card, and I'd like to add my well wishes to yours for Anne's retirement. And I'd love to be able to shop until we all dropped together! lol....enjoy yourselves ladies!
ReplyDeleteOh no Envys that leak sounds terrible and onto your scrapping/cardmaking supplies, I'd want to cry and pull the covers back over my head too. If you are insured you could claim on your insurance couldn't you. Leaks like that are claimable here in Australia. I'm thinking of you in this time of stress.

ReplyDeleteGreat Card, Im sorry about your leak & all of your stuff getting ruined. But now you get to shop for more.
ReplyDeleteA few years ago our plumbing had to be re-placed,my cheapskate EX-husband wanted to do it himself & had my brother help him, who, by the way we call the master of disaster, well he wanted the pipes overhead in the attic, instead of underground like they were, Im sure you have Drywall there, i'm just not sure what you might call it , if it's not drywall, some people here call it sheet rock, anyhow, you have to be careful with weight and heavy stuff on it, they were almost done and my brother slipped & fell right thru the ceiling, his legs dangling, it was pretty funny , except that we had a big hole in our ceiling right by our bedroom door, my Ex wasn't as amused as i was.The good that came out of that was, we put an attic opening up there to give me more storage for my xmas & halloween stuff. Just thought i'd share that.
I just wanted to let you know that your card has been featured on the blogazine www.Scrapanista.com. Love what you did with the Cricut New Arrival pregnant mommy cut!
