All the Bags and Boxes

I have loads of questions from people wanting to buy the Tags, Bags Boxes and more cartridge, wondering how big the little bags cut. On the handbook, all you see is a bewildering number of strange shapes, and I have been meaning to do this exercise for ages, so last night I cut out all the shapes very roughly, and I have measured each one to give you an idea of size. This is the maximum size that they will cut on a 12 x 12 mat using the cricut expression

My scribbled writing looks like 3 1/2" on this photo. It cuts to a finished bag of 5 1/2 including the handle

With this box, cut two, one slightly smaller than the other. This makes a good size gift box, big enough to take something like a scarf.

I hope this helps some of you who may be wondering if this cartridge would be useful. Some of the boxes would make pretty wedding favours.
Oops, I've left one out, it's the inch bag, an open top bag that cuts to 6" x8"

  28. Enfys,

Thanks for listing this really helpful information.

Just an FYI - if you use CDS you can rotate the boxes and get slightly bigger ones. For instance the popcorn box went from 4" to 6" (base to the bottom of the scallop top).

  31. Enfys, you are just awesome! Thanks for all your work in doing this. I really wish the handbooks would show the bags and boxes assembled instead of all spread eagled!

  32. This is really great of you...very helpful!! I do have a question? Do you use Fit to Page to determine the size? Or do you choose a size? I just tried to make the tree the 5 1/2 you indicated it would make but used Fit to Page and it only came out 4 inches. Any idea what I should have done differently?

  33. You are the most awesome person! This is going to be so helpful for me! Just yesterday I was wondering how big the purse 2 would be on a 12 X 12 - and there you have it! I was starting to make my own dictionary for 8 1/2 X 11.

  34. Hi All. I am new to the cutting machines so this may appear to be a dumb question but... I see that the nutcup is marked as 2 1/2 x 2 as a finished product but on the craftroom screen the image it flat. What are the measurements to type in in the craft room to get it to cut that size?

    thanks for the feedback, zimmermom13
