I have been breaking open my new Serenade cartridge, this is a really pretty one, and of course, the first thing to be cut was one of the birdcages.
The card was a ready made pre embossed one by Laura Ashley, I used quite a lot of gold mirri card, so this card really isn't my usual style at all, but I quite like it

A frustrating day on some levels today - I was standing in a long queue (line) to use an ATM. Now, the one thing you know when you are waiting to use these machines, is that you will need your bank card. So how come I was the only person standing there with it in my hand? I swear one woman had to decant the entire contents of her handbag, (that was the size of a small suitcase), on the pavement (sidewalk). People have climbed Mount Everest with less equipment than she was carrying around with her. She practically got a round of applause when she eventually located her card. Then the next man had a bit of a problem, the machine kept spitting the card back at him, I felt quite sorry for him, he was all red with embarrassment, and eventually slunk away, cashless. Of course, the woman in front of me didn't want a quick fiver out of the machine, no, she needed to know her balance, order a new cheque book, I'm guessing that she ordered a Chinese takeaway at the same time.....................
I think it's me, I probably dropped my tolerance on the pavement when I had to rummage in my bag to find my bank card (the card I was holding for twenty minutes was my library card)

Enfys you are hilarious, wonder how much I could get with my library card lol. Mind you I did try to pay for something in M & S with my sainsbury points card lol. Love this card, I do like using mirri board and I find this whole card very stunning.

Oh Enfys you poor love, I had those machines and keep away from they with as much will as I can, and leave that to my hubby to do.

Oh Enfys, this card is stunning!!!! I also love love the "tweet" card, it is adorable, but I am undecided, my love for your beautiful creations, or the fact that your stories make me laugh and giggle so much (pretty much the same thing I know, but at least I wasn't sipping my coffee when I read the end of your ATM story!!!).
I love the face painting post as well, Kiki looks so cute, and um, so does Mom...ahhh, the things we do for our children!!! LOVE IT!

Your library card!!! How funny! Well at least you weren't alone...But I'm sure you left all your scrappy stash at home, so you didn't have a lot of 'stuff' in your bag.
I love your card. I've been wondering about that cartridge. I love the mix of birds and butterflies on my projects. So I've been thinking of checking it out. Problem is....it would be added to an already loooooong list! Have a great day!
It just occured to me... that's probably why our libraries have gone to a key card system. I mean a small card you keep on your key ring. They use a scanner like at the grocery store. It's small and all the other, similar cards, are different shapes and/or colors. So there's no confusion.
When they first gave it to me, I thought "Oh joy, another thing to add to my already bulging key ring!"(The thing could be classified as a lethal weapon!) But it didn't take long for me to figure out that I no longer have to carry anything except my book bag, and my key ring into the library! Hooray for progress!
LOL funny story! Your card is so pretty. I came across some metalic paper while cleaning my room. I will use it to cut a birdcage. :) Love all your ideas.

Enfys, this is such a wonderful card... your card stock choice is perfect for the birdcage. I really want the Serenade cartridge, but absolutely refuse to pay the ebay price. I'm hoping ProvoCraft takes pity and releases it in the US soon. Loved your ATM story. Just recently I was at BP trying to purchase gasoline at the pump, becoming increasingly frustrated that my card wouldn't work. I was about to go inside and confront the poor girl working at the counter when I realized that I was trying to buy gas with a restaurant gift card! I blame it on stress ... not age.
