A card for Daddy......

I love this little boy image from Sugar Nellie - it's a digi stamp so I can just print it out and start colouring. I think it's the perfect card for a little boy to give to his Daddy for a birthday or fathers day.

Coloured with Promarkers:
Skin ivory and blush
hair ivory, buttercup and caramel
shirt sandstone, caramel tan
shorts denim blue and pastel blue
toy lipstick red and red

I knew I would use this Nellie Snellen punch over and over. I didn't have a matching ribbon in the right width, so I cut a sliver of the plaid paper and used that to thread the tags

What did I tell you? Went down into the town today to get some groceries, hair washed, smart (ish) clothes. Did I see anyone I know? Nobody. Not a friend to be seen. I was approached by an old tramp who asked me if I could spare a pound, so obviously I looked the part to him at least!

See you tomorrow.

Win - Cricut Cartridge and Promarkers!

Time for some candy! 1,000 posts seems like a good enough reason, so this is to thank all my lovely followers. Some of you have been with me almost from the start, although in the very early days I was chattering away to myself every day!

So what's up for grabs? First of all, Letraset have been very generous and are giving TWO lucky readers the chance to win a pack of twelve ProMarkers, plus a set of fine tips to go with them
What are fine tips? Well I am excited about these, didn't think my Promarkers could get any better, but then these arrived in the mail.......................
inside is a very, very fine tip.............................
which just clips over the existing tip on any Promarker.......
which means that you can fill in really tiny detail, or write sentiments in any colour to match your card. Genius!
One lucky person will win the Cricut cartridge that has taken the Cricut community by storm - Elegant Edges. No more expensive dies, you can cut every label shape under the sun with this cartridge. It's my all time favourite. To see an example of my work using this cartridge, pop over to Scrappy-go-Lucky's blog to see my baby boy book, using Elegant Edges and Nursery Steps

I had to include a card with the post. This little sweetie is a Sugar Nellie digi stamp, coloured with ProMarkers of course. I kept the card very simple, and just let her do the talking......

So there you go, three chances to win. I will keep this running until Saturday 23rd July at noon EST (5:00PM UK)
All you have to do is put a link on your blog if you have one, (don't worry if you don't, you are still entered to win) and leave a comment under this post. If you don't have a Cricut, and would just like to win the ProMarkers, please tell me. Also, can you make sure I can identify you if you win, especially those who use the anonymous option to leave a comment. Remember to leave your name or message board name

Good luck!

Winner of the Grad Cartridge

First of all, I drew the winner of the cartridge by Random.org, carefully took a photo, and it's come out all blurry and unreadable. So I will just have to tell you that the winner is

SiskiyouSue

Congratulations. Email me with your address and I will get it in the mail to you. If you didn't win, there is another draw starting later this week, this time for some great Polkadoodles products

On to today's card. The image is one I stamped at my craft group - I am pretty sure it's a

Sugar Nellie, coloured with promarkers. I added the little dog stamp. The nestie type shape is one I got at Olympia, by Nellie Snellen , pretty designs and they cost a fraction of the nestability dies.

I punched a half circle on the orange grid paper, and put a small button there as if to anchor it.

Border punch by Martha (notice I am on first name terms with Martha now, well I probably paid for her last luxury vacation, so I feel entitled to a bit of familiarity). The base card and sentiment by Craftwork Cards

Promarkers used:

Skin blush and soft peach

Hair buttercup and mustard

Clothes denim blue, powder blue, coral, sunkissed pink

Has anyone got any tips on the holy grail for papercrafters, the perfect paper trimmer? I have numerous smaller ones like the Fiskars blue one, and a making memories big one that hinges down the middle and opens out, but the grid is wearing off that, and the ruler guide has snapped a couple of times which is irritating in the middle of a project. I don't want a guillotine one, I would probably chop off my fingers. So if one of you has found the perfect, accurate EASY to use trimmer, I could do with a few tips. It must measure up to 12"

Welcome Baby

I used the gorgeous little digi image from Sugar Nellie for this one, the papers are old ones from my mile-high pile, and the letters are Making Memories and American Crafts

Coloured with promarkers. I used

Ivory, blush and soft peach for the skin

Blosom and dusky pink for the hat

Talking of babies, my two little men, Milo and Monty will be two soon. How time flies. When we last saw Milo, about a month ago, he was a silent little chappie, pointing to what he wanted, saying 'mama, dadda,' and that was about it. I was so delighted yesterday when he came on the phone and said chirpily 'lello Ma. Lub you Ma. Bye bye.' Grandchildren bring such joy!
