So I told you yesterday that I had some new watercolour paints........
and that instead of doing one of the dozens of things I have lined up for them, I started messing around with little scenes, no, I am definitely not Monet, but I figured they were good enough to pop onto a card for a truly handmade greeting........or maybe not, what do you think?
Don't ask me what these flowers are meant to be - roses? peonies? I haven't a clue, but I had such an absorbing afternoon painting them, I found it totally relaxing and will be dabbling again when I have time........
We were supposed to be going down to London tomorrow, but plans have changed and now daughter Alex and her boyfriend are arriving here later today, so it's off to the shops to stock up with some food, then a bit of cooking is the only thing that will be on the cards today - but I'll see you tomorrow x
They are lovely Enfys, what other talents do you have hidden?
ReplyDeleteI'm duly impressed with your painting skills! These are definitely nice enough to use on a card.
ReplyDeleteYour watercolouring is lovely Enfys.
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend.

Move over Monet, we have a new artist on the scene! Honestly, I think these are lovely. My fav is the lovely green forest scene ... it is just so peaceful looking. But then the flowers (which I believe are roses), look beautiful too. Have a wonderful time with your daughter and her boyfriend/
ReplyDeleteLove your pretty watercolour scenes, Enfys! Especially like the floral one, which reminds me of the beautiful, big, blousy peonies in my MIL garden - one of my favourite flowers but so short lived! Have a wonderful day with family and a fabulous Easter weekend! Hugs, Lisa x
ReplyDeleteWow they look amazing and would definitely be a beautiful card to receive Enfys. Good luck with the cooking.
ReplyDeleteThe Impressionists all started somewhere, now, didn't they? LOL Loved both paintings, especially the flowers (could also be geraniums?) and with your skill at coloring, I'm sure you will be a wonderful watercolorist. Amazing how much fun and how relaxing it can be.
ReplyDeleteI love your work! You are such an inspiration, I need to start working with watercolors again. Now I must say, I like watercolors but sure don't have the talent you do! Thank you for sharing and enjoy your time with your daughter!
ReplyDeleteYour watercolors are so pretty, I would be thrilled to receive a card with one. Have a great time with your daughter.
ReplyDeleteLove the bright colors and green is m y favorite color so I am a fan, ha!
ReplyDeleteTwo lovely pieces of art, doesn't matter if the flowers aren't anything 'real' - they're pretty and obviously.....flowers! I admire anyone who can paint anything at all, put a brush in my hand and I go to pieces! ;)
ReplyDeleteWOW! Very pretty watercolors! hugs, Helena
ReplyDeleteWow!!! you did fantastic!!!!! hope to see more
ReplyDeleteYour water colouring is gorgeous Enfys. I used to watercolour before taking up card making and still have several of my paintings up on my walls. I am just getting back into it again. The loose technique you did is the best way to start and I find it the most absorbing and relaxing thing you can do. I am sure you will enjoy doing many more painting projects.

Beautiful! Both are card worthy or framing and putting on the wall worthy.
ReplyDeleteThese are lovely Enfys. Another talent you have.
