Two days, two cards......

Time to share the very unproductive results of a two day swarm (cricut crop) that I went to in Ocala at the weekend. Two cards in two days, and I had taken enough stuff with me to make a card for the entire population of the UK, well the world probably. It was fun of course, so who's counting...... . Anyway, here is my first card, Tilda sitting on her swing (the swing was stamped for me by my lovely pal DawnyP). I used the MS hearts border on the edge. Normally I would have machine stitched around the white panel, but the sewing machine was about the only bit of kit I didn't take with me.
The second card is the result of a challenge that I found really hard, we were presented with an envelope containing random papers, diecuts, brads, ribbon and so on. We had to use them ALL on our card, which even for me, who likes to throw a lot of stuff at a card, was a stretch too far. Anyway, Tilda came to the rescue again and I managed to use everything in my bag, plus Tilda. I added some glitter to the stars, and glossy accents to the balloons and popped everything up off the card. I chopped the metal rim tags in half and added some tiny sticker letters.

I think I left my mojo behind in Ocala though, (I may have lost it on the way there come to think of it), and have had a totally useless day today, there are about 5 torn up projects in the trash can, and you may be able to see the blue cloud above my house from where you are............
Saturday is national scrapbook day, and I am going to another all day crop, may as well take advantage of these things while I am here, when I am back in the UK I am a very lonely little crafter.

The second one has given me inspiration because I also have this stamp and didn't really know whether I liked it or not but you have made my mind up and I will be getting it out.

  7. Hi Enfys

Your posting made me laugh. I can just imagine what I would be like if I had to take my crafting stuff to a crop .. .. even taking stuff from my craft room to the dining room table downstairs seems like a military maneoevre. (Even then I have to keep running up and down the stairs to get extra things).

Your cards are lovely as always but I particularly love Tilda on the swing. She looks gorgeous.

    Love Jules xx

  8. I thought the skies looked strange to the west! Your cards look great. You must have had a great time chatting and buying to only end up with two cards. Wish I had been there. Been in a bit of a card funk myself. I finally got into LAB yesterday and had some fun. I'm sure great things will come from Saturday's adventure. have fun!

  11. Enfys, I think your cards are lovely. You did a great job using all those items on the challenge card. I've never been to a crop, but every time my SIL and I get together to scrap we get nothing done ( I can't craft and talk at the same time :))
By the way, LOVE the new look your blog is sporting, the black and what is so striking!

  17. Two days, two cards. Ithink you get more done when you stay at home. LOL However, they are both ubber cute.

Better luck at accomplishing more on Saturday. I'm hoping to get some time to scrap, but...three kids and a hubby that loves to take the dog to the dog park will probably have other plans.

  23. Enfys, these are adorable, the swing is one of the ones I picked up at Ally Pally so you've given me lots of inspiration. Sorry you've lost your mojo but knowing you it will soon be back (not that anyone would have noticed anyway).

Sorry you're a lonely little crafter in the UK, we will just have to meet and craft together.
